I do not milk a cow now unless ihe sign is rigb/> and it hasn't been right faru good many years The last cow 1 tried to milk was a common cow, born iu obscu rity, kind of a Belf made cow, I re member her brow was low, bu she wore her tail high and she was haughty, oh, so haugA/y. 1 made a common place remark to her, one iliai is used iu me very best of society, one that need not have given offense anywhere. I said ‘so,’ aud she “~oed.“ Then I told her to “histe,” and she “hist ®d.” But I thought she overdid it. She pul 100 much expression In it. Just then 1 beerd something crash through the window of the born aud fall with a dull sickewiug thud on the outside. The neigh bors ccme to see what it was that caused /he noise. They fouud that I nad done it iu getting turongb the window. I asked tue neighbors if the barn waR still standing. They said it was. Then I asked if the cow was injured much. They said she seemed to be quite robust Then I requested them to go on in and calm the cow a little and see if they could no/ get my plug hat off her horns. lam baying all my milk of a milkman. The railroad hog was there. In a dozen cases be had a whole seat to himself, and be meant to keep it, The woman finally found refuge in the smok ing cai, and by and by the hog went forward to enjoy a Havana, and found her crying. “What’s the matter ?” “Baby is very 111, sir.” “And where are you going 1 ’ “To my sister’s. Six months ago I was completely covered with a terrible humor and scrofulous sores. The humor caused an incessant and intolerable itching, and the skin cracked so as to cause the blood to flow in many places whenever I moved. My sufferings were great, and my life a burden. I commenced the use of the Sarsaparilla In April last, and have used It regularly since that {ime. My condition began to improve at once. The sores have all healed, and I feel perfectly well in every respect being now able to do a good day’s work, although 73 years of age.
