We deem this notice necessary, as the Atlanta Constitution, which formerly did this advertising, sees fit to continue doing so, thus causing some of our county people j to think it still has the printing, and thereby tending to injure the Atlas. The stones \\ ere as large as partridge eggs, and did considerable damage to corn and Cotton. Unknown —We have received some poetry over the signature of “0.,” which wo will publish when the author’s name i.; furnished, in acc rdance with otir rule. We have already published some of this poetry, hut under the wrong idea that we had the real name of the author. Chops.— The timely and Loun tilul rain of last week, has infused new life and vigor into the grow ing crops, which had begun to suffer. Corn and cotton are doing finely, and most of ohr farmers have “laid by,” Correction —Sir. Horn informs us that he made one hundred hush els of whe.it on twenty 11 ve acres of land, instead of thirty- five, as we had it last week. This makes it that much better. - . Mail Changed,— Instead of leav ing Stone Mountain in the morn ing, the mail now leaves here in the morning, and arrives in the afternoon. 'J he change suits our people very well. • m Rags.— Major B.
