} Last Saturday at 9 6'clock the twelve men ‘
} chosen as the jury in the trial of Joe Petty and |
! Lon Dixon for urder, retired to the juryi
room 1o prepare the verdict, They were |

1 for the right. We helieve these twelve to be !
:um'uf the best juries ever selected, and it |
was remarked that good jurors had been se i
cured. Ir was soon learned by all, that men |
who are firm, whose aim is high. and whose E
determination is that the law shall be enforced,

strong evidence they found a verdict which !

| son who is a valuable citizen should appreci- |
ate that this jury isa law abiding set om men, ‘

No man can criticise the jury for their verdict. ]
We praise them for saying by their verdict, '

The verdict of this jury shouidbe a warn
ing toall, especially to the young men_ Bear
