Satilla River, A picnic was given at Petty Land ing on the Satilla River last Friday by the people of that vicinity. | S. F. Mills and Jos. Mills with their Wwives; sons, daughters and grandchildren were the greatet part of the gathering. Thete were in all about forty presetit. Pleaty of fish had been caught and several well filled baskets; that we love to talk a bout and more so to gather around, had beeh carried, so there wasn’t anything to cause disappointmentor unpleasantneéss but all enjoyed the day and report a good time. Dut the owner died that vear and left the eave to thirteen helrs scattered over the country. The lucky thirteen devoted themselves to dreams of spending the big income which the cave had been earning for many years because it had been advertised. But they forgot to keep up the advertising, Now the cave is visited by compara tively few persons instead of by many thousands annually, ss in the days when 1t was advertised.
