Fruit-Growing vs. ‘
- Saving Banks,
Wesometime see figures showing
how money makes money when put
in the savings bank where it will
draw 49, compounded semi-annual
ly. A dollar a week for ten vearsis
said to grow to six hundred and sis
ty dollars and over fifteen hundred
twenty vears. This is all very well
fortlose who ¢annot do better, but
with pecan growing, as well estab
lished as the saving bank business
proposition, the investor can have
all the secuirty, with better profits
and can cut down the period of sav
ing tofive years if he so desires and |
still make double the rate of intver-!
est. A dollar a week for five ‘vea,rs‘
will in competent hands, cover all
cost of bringing an acre of echoice
pecans into bearing, when it will
begin to pay according to Mr. Wri
ght, 897 and keep on increasing in
value at the rate of SSO a year and
keep paying the 89/, on the enhan
ced value for years to come. There
is another difference besides the:
doubiing of rate of interest; with
the orchard youstop paying in and
saving in five years but that (}Qes
not stop the increasing of the value
ol the investment. With the bank
y u only get, 49/ on what you plit;'
in, supplemented by the aceruing
interest. With the orchard therafe.
of interest continues to increase so
that infive years it is payihg ahout
109, and at ten years ‘about 18%1
and reathes 259, by the fifteenth
vear This looks good even' if if
did not keep going on increasing for
ten years more. The best thing nfl
bout this is the fact that it is not &
theoretical estimate but is a logical
deduction froin aceomplished re
sults. At the same time it requires
a thorough, practical knowledge of
the busiress, with favorable locat
ion and patien; care and labor to
work it out.—The Nut Grower.

The first application of Mexican Mus
tang Liniment subdues the pain but it
continues its work until every quivering
nerve is soothed and quieted.
The great penetrating power of this
famous remedy enables it to do this
quickly and positively.
In all cases of Sprains, Bruises or Lame
ness, Mexican Mustang ‘ Liniment
should be rubbed in persistently.
The antiseptic qualities of this old relia
ble household remedy make it safe and
sure.
