St. George Items of Interest
Mr. B. 1, Fountain was taken to
a Jdcksonville hospital Thursday
where an operation for appendi
citis was performed Mrs. Foun
tain and Miss Katy May atlended
him until he was well on the way
to recovery and visited him again
the end of the week. Itis hoped
that Mr. Fountaiun aill soon be at
bhome again.
Mrs, wW.C. Hopkins was in town
Saturday. Mrs Hopkins has been
in Camaen county for several‘,
weeks,
Arthur Bar<er spent Sunday
with homefolks.
Miss Mary Jane Taylor, a sister
of Miss Agnes Taylor, is assisting
at tiie postoffice.
-Charles Bussey spent the week
end at home.
Miss Katy May Fountain retnrn
ed to her post in Orlando after
spending her vacation with her
family here. Miss Fountain is in
training in a hospital in that city.
Mrs. C.E. Stroup of Folkston
is visiting her mother, Mrs. Smith
and Mr, and Mrs. Albert Kemp.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilkes and sob,
Nolan, have returned from a
week’s vacation at Dublin, Ga. '
Mr. Harr, Cockrell is visiting at
the home of his sister, Mrs. J. M.
Scovil'e.
Dr. and Mrs. J. R. Vinson, Miss
Elsie and Hamilton and Dorothy
King were Jacksonville visitors

sonville on husiness Monday.

C. Hopkins were in Folkston
Monday.
The Boy Scouts are progressing
well with their work of organiza
tion. A number of beys are very
much interested. They meet on
Thursday of this week and are
looking forward to Rev, F. O.
Coffin’s return, knowing that he
will have some new plans for
them.

several weeks conducting a se
ries of meetings,
Albert Smith Dies
The death of Al ert Smith qc
curred at nis heme on July 26, at
3 p m., after an illness of several
weeks with typhoid fever.
Mr. Smith was a native of this
county and was 35 years of age.

singing and playing, The vand
was a real joy to listen to. The
dinner was fine and thoroughlyi
