Guard thy Health— The
many reports of illness now pre
vailing throughout the county and
the several aeath recorded, seems
to indicate an unhealthy condition,
but we do not so assume. The
cold and wet weather, has brought
about a few cases of flu, with
complications have cauSed” some
of the sickness. It seems to us
that from reports that some of us’
get rather careless when on the
mend and as a result take back
sets. Confidence is a good thing
to bring about getting well, but
getting careless and risking too
much can bring about dire results, J

Now Connected with Mains.
The city fathers of Folikston
have contracted with the Light
and Water Co., for water from
their tested artesian wet! and the
work of connecting same with the
present mains has been done, new
mains having been laid the past
week for that purpose.
The testing of a new devize al
tached to an automobile was done
last Thursday and it proved sal
isfactorily in the test. This device
will be quite an adjunct to our
fire protection, and frow the et
it proved that water from the two
inch mains even gives good pres
sure and a stream thrown with
such pressure as reach our high
est house top,
The water will be appreciated by
our cilizens, as in the past the sup
ply has been short, especially 1
the summer months.

This partof the program needs
much study and helpful manage

money, when proerly handled,
than any other phase of our work.
Old speckle often pulls us out of

Forestry development was next
taken up by the Board and i: was
thought best to mike it a county

of proper forest protection, the
following gentlemen were selected
to help the County Agent create
a better spirit of protection than
we now have; J. V. Gowen, Chair
