most popular place of amusement on
the South Atlantic Coast. Mr. R. G.
B lrge, who has managed Tybrisa 30
successfully for the past two seasons,
will be in charge.
HOTEL TYBEE will be under the
management of Captain Edgar L.
Hinton, who for the past fifteen
years has been manager of the fa¬
mous Seashore Hotel at Wrightsville
Beach. For the past two months Mr.
Hinton has had a large force of em¬
ployes busily engaged in painting,
renovating and enlarging the proper¬
ty. Th. grounds have been beauti¬
fied and many lovely flowers planted and
in the beds between the Hotel
Railway Station.
The Hotel will be run on the Amer¬
ican Plan and will open for business
on May 20th. Mr. Hinton announces
that he will have with him at Tybee
number of his old emloyes who
.
have served under him efficiently
for many years, which should as¬
sure guests at Hotel Tybee service
equal to and unsurpassed by any
other resort hotel on the Coast.
The electric plant has been over¬
hauled and enlarged and ample elec¬ all
tricity will be obtainable for
users on the island at very reason¬
able rates.
The ice and refrigerating plants
are in excellent condition for this
season’s business, and residents at
Ty-bee will be sold what ice is not
consumed by the Hotel at city rates.
The laundry has been thoroughly
overhauled and renovated and new
machinery purchased, which will am¬
ply take care, not only of the hotel
work, but of the flat work of cot¬
tages, if desired, at prices correspon¬
ding with those in the city.
Hotel Tybee is looking forward to
this being the most successful season
in its history and the Management
promises to give service that will
bring many new patrons to the re
sort.
Durden & Powers Pavilion and
Bath Houses and Sea Breeze Hotel
will open on May 9th. The Ocean
View Hotel will open on May 10th,
under new management, Taylor and
Winokur, proprietors and managers
Other hotels at Tybee are the Atlan¬ Cot¬
tic Club, Curry House and Izlar

EXCURSION FARES, SEASON
1920
Season Excursion Tickets will be
sold daily May 15th to August 31st,
inclusive, limited for return until
September Sunday Excursion 30, 1920. Tickets will be
sold from Augusta and intermediate
points only on Sunday’s during
period May 30th to September 5th, be
both inclusive. Such tickets will
good going and returning only on
Sundays on “Seashore Trains,”
Sunday Seashore Trains will be
operated between Augusta ami Sa¬
vannah on Sundays May 3oth to
