The Tifton Gazette is doing fine work for the merchants of that town in its light against high freight rates. Vice-president Gabbett and Gen¬ eral Manager Beaupree, of the G. & A., spent Wednesday night in Ocilla. ‘ Mr. Louis Strickland, a prominent business man of Valdosta, dropped dead in his room Monday. You have doubtless noticed that the Dispatch is kicking up no dust about “one man power” and thfe like in Irwin. The other fellows would be equally as quiet if they had secured the county printing.
