That she hails with joy the deuces of spring. Flowers and ferns, birds and bees, beetles and bed-bugs, and many other evidences of the near approach of the queen liest month of the year are not lack- mg. Hail, gentle spring, hut please don’t frost! That she always did think it was funny to see a young chap and his best girl cornered off “holding hands,” while every now and then he looks into her love-lit eyes with ^ expi . ession of a dying calf. But suc h things have to be, and she is finding n0 fault> only it’s awful f unn y That if she was requested to offer some ad-vice to young people, and was limited to two words, with never an opportunity of saying more, those two words would be; Be Sin- cere. -Lack of sincerity causes lack 0 f confidence, and where confidence j s Jacking, there also is lacking rc- spect. The every-day life of a man should be an illustration of the religion that is within him, and it will be if he reverences the Master and lives up to the golden rule. ■ When a man lives in a way to sat¬ isfy his own conscience, it should matter but little to him what opin¬ ion the world holds of him. Con- scieifce never yet sanctioned a wrong or sinful act. Wednesday morning the baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Fletcher died, after a brief illness, of cholera in- fantum,-aged about eighteen months.
