Price of Lumber Coes Up. The Georgia Saw Mill Associa¬ tion held its monthly meeting at De Soto yesterday, and was in ses¬ sion nearly all day and several hour* at night. The o ill curs of the association are Messrs. II. II. Tift, of Tifton , president; . , J. T J. r McDonough ir rx , of - 8avannilh ’ vil- e 1-resident; and 1. J. Agnow, of Tifton, secretary. They were all in atlendanee at the first uicoting ihat has been h 1! in Savannah. The association disposed of its regular routine work, and also ap pointed a committee to consider the matter of an advance in the price of lumber. At a late hour the com- xnittee made its report, and hv its decision increased the price on dif¬ ferent grades and lengths at from 5o cents to $4 per thousand. This advance will go into effect fifteen days from the date of meeting.
