A pest house is being built some distance west of its present location, and is about completed. Mrs. Paulk, the estimable wife of Mr. W. F. Paulk, is recovering from a spell of fever. Don’t be cruel to your “vaccinate,” unless you want to wear your arm in a sling several weeks. Rub up hard against the left arm of a sovereign citizen of Ocilla if you want a rucus fierce and quick. P- Skeen, a prominent Atlanta lawyer, has been indicted by the grand jury of Fulton county for barratry. There will be special work at the K. of P. meeting next Monday night, and every member is urged to be on hand. Miss Annie Henderson, of near Ocilla, will visit her brother, Mr. I). J. It is one of the handsomest church struc- tures in the state and is tangible ev- idence of the skill of the contractor. Another i name has , been , added ,,, to the long list. Word comes from another county that the brfeaking out is “black chicken pox.” Call it whatever name suits you, but help to wipe it out! Irwin county does; 1 not need it in her business. Since • the establishment of the pest house and the isolation therein of those having smallpox, the trade of Ocilla has picked up rapidly. The Dispatch orphanage was hon- ored with an invitation to dine at Rev. M L. Lawson’s yesterday. Owing to vaccination, only one of the orphans could attend.
