Hogan was in Oeil- la Wednesday looking for fodder pullers. They are scarce all over the county. Oeilla Lodge No. 374, F. A A. M., is growing rapidly. At nearly every meeting there are applications for membership. Mr. Mieajah Tucker and his daugh¬ ter, Miss Emily, of Florida, will visit relatives and friends in Irwin county reext week. MissMollie Wheeles, of Wellston, da., who- has been visiting her un¬ cle, Mr. R. B. Watson, returned home Wednesday. Mr. John I). Paalk ami family are now residents of Oeilla. They oc ¬ cupy the pretty cottage corner Fourth and Beech Streets, Mr. Ira Paulk can go up bead on prolific pear trees. Lennon are giving their cholera- stricken hogs burnt corn, with goQd results, as there have been no deaths since they began giving it. Mr. Jesse Luke is building a nice six-room cottage for himself. He owns one of the best farms in the county, and after dining with him Monday, we know that his better- half is one of the best house-keepers i in the county. NO. 4: I Tuesday evening Miss Aural Hobbs, Ocilla’s popular assistant p. m., had j her left wrist severely scalded with coffee. For six inches the flesh was apparently blistered. A handful of sheep’s wool was bound on the arm, with the result that, Thursday morn¬ ing, there was no sign of the injury. ! This would seem pretty good proof that wool is a sure cure for scalds.
