At a meeting of the democratic <5X’ecutiv'e committee yesteidtty a Call was made for a mass meeting of the democratic party of Rock¬ dale county on the 30th of June at 2 o’clock p. m. at the court house fry select two delegates and two al¬ ternates to attend the congressional invention to be held in Atlanta on the 11 th of July, and the same number of delegates and alternates <0 the senatorial convention of this district. And also called a primary elec¬ tion of the democratic party of said county on Saturday July 21 st iff the several precints of the coun¬ ty to’ select a candidate for the low¬ er house of the next general assem¬ bly, said election to be governed by the rules heretofore adopted by the executive committee, which will Appear hereafter. It Will be held as early as possible in July, however, and the people will have time to recover from its effects fiy November. A fierce campaign ii-predicted.
