Executive Committee's-. Action.
At a meeting of the democratic
executive committee yesterday a
call was made for a mass meeting
of the democratic party of Roclc
dale county on the 80th of June at
2 o’clock ]>. m. at the court house
to select two delegates and two al¬
ternates to attend the congressional
convention to lie held in Atlanta on
the 11th of July, and the same
number of delegates and alternates
to the senatorial convention of this
disti ict.
And also called a primary elec¬
tion of the democratic party of
said county on Saturday July 21st
at the several preoints of t he coun¬
ty to select a candidate for the low¬
er house of the next general assem¬
bly, said election to be governed by
the rules heretofore adopted by the
executive committee, which will
appear hereafter.

The Farmers Alliance is making
considerable headway, Mr, Tid
well of McDonough is billed to
make several addresses in our
county at an early day, and it is
thought ho will succeed in doing
his organization some good in this
county.
The nomination is over and we
suppose everybody is perfectly sat¬
isfied. Judge McCalla will repre¬
sent the county most ably and ac
ceptably. And the county has
reason to be proud that Judge Mc¬
Calla is altogether a representative
man.
The rm idea 1 has I some circulation • 1
