Miss Stella Waldin, a beautiful and attractive young lady of Peach Stone Shoals, visited friends in this com munity last week. Mrs. David Ifusketk and her beautiful daughter, Miss Bertha of Lithonia visited Mr. Zack Almand’s family last Sunday. Little Maud Treadwell we are sor¬ ry to learn is very sick, hope soon to hear of her complete recovery Mr. and Mrs. William Beattie vis¬ ited friends in L’thonia last Sunday. Messrs Thomas Bird and James Barcley two of Lilhonia’s hand¬ somest young men, paid Oak Grove a flying visit Sunday afternoon. Come again gentlemen. Mr. and Mrs. Waldin of Peach Stone Shoals visited their son, Mr. Jack Waldin in this community last week. There was quite an enjoyable sing ing at the residence of Mr. O. S Hay good last Saturday night. Miss Lou Havgcod is visiting friends in Henry county this week, Mr. Jim Husketb, one of Lithonia’s handsomest young gents, visited in this community last Wednesday. I wonder who the nine were that, taken a atraw ride Saturday night, and enjoyed themselves so “hugely.’ Miss Essie Lee Fielder of Cora Ga visited friends in this community this week. The O ik Grove school is prosper-' ing finely, there is now GO pupils .Miss Serena Hay good is assisting Miss Fielder. There will be preaching at Oak Grove Tuesday night by Bev. War¬ ren Tucker, who his kindly consented to deliver to us.a sermon. Miss L- ila McDaniel visited per Year, $1.00 at Ebenezer last Sunday. Don’t forget the singiug at this place every Friday night. All are invited to attend. Little Lilia Wuldin wo are sorry to learn has been very sick, but glad to state is able to be out again. Mr Warren Thrasher of Lb maze visited in this section Sunday last. For that vvorihy reason nows is scarce this week. Mrs. Shaw is ill at this writing. Some of the people were alarmed at first, thinking she had measels, but after the physician saw her he pro¬ nounced the disease not measels. Some of the correspondents of the Solid Soute and Banner must un¬ doubtedly think the girl i are all very beautiful by the way they speak of them as being “ lovely ” or “ beauti-. ful.’’ The boys look about as well as the girls, and it is a pity to slight them and never call them “ beauti¬ ful.” Mr. A. O Cowan is preparing to build him a residence, at least it ap¬ pears so, judging Lv he way he is hauling lumber about and visiting Sheffields lovely daughter. A certain old bachelor is very much concerned about Mr. Cowans future son-in-law. But time will prove all things, he says he is going to ask'Mr. Cowan as soon as he can get au opportunity.
