house down to the first rail road
crossing, a distance of about 200
yards. They make a fellow
feel most delightful when they
all get out on the street together

On last Sunday morning, Mrs.
W. T. Shipley, of Harlem, Ga.,
and a former resident of Con¬
yers, died. The remains were
brought here for onterment in
the Rockdale Cemetery Mon¬
day. The funeral services were
held at the Baptist church at
this place and was conducted
by Rev. J. M. Brittian, of At¬
lanta. She has a large concourse
of relatives and fi'iends who
mourn her death.
Last Wednesday evening at
7 o’clock, at the home of the
bride’s parents, Rev. E. M.
Hooten officiating, Miss Wood -
ie Hardin and Mr. Egbert Smith
were hapily united in marriage.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. W. Hardin, one of our most
highly esteemed citizens, and is
a very pretty and accomplished
young woman. Mr. Smith i3 a
very popular and successful
young man. After the ceremo
ny an elaborate reception was

hastens to get to grandma's cottage
first. He frightens grandma tiway
and slips into her bed and when the
little gyand-daugbter comes with her
goodieg he jumps out to eat her up
but a woodman rushes tn and saves
her.
Her playmates, in the meantime,
are happy at play when Robin biing s
the dreadful news that Red Riding
Hood has been devoured by a wo'f
Then grief L soon dispelled howev¬
er, by the return of the woodman
and Red Riding Hood. The scene
closes with a general rejoiemg by
mamtra and chi'dren and a happy
goodnight.
