BY THE WAYSIDE.
On last Sunday w T e accepted
a seat with Mr. Adair and went
to Rockdale church. Rev. De
Foie preached a sound, practi¬
cal sermon. The congregation
was large and the music was
good, the organ being skillfully
by young Mr. Wil
Granade, who is preparing
for the high calling of the min¬
istry. After services we went
and dined with Mr. J. H. Mad¬
dox. The dinner was all that
even an epicure could wish.
"Irs. Maddox and daughters
know how to serve in best style
the old fashioned and well cook¬
ed country dinners. We had a
most pleasant time with the
family and other guests present
Mr. Maddox is one of the best
and most successful faimers of
Rockdale.

MONEY SAYERS
FOR THE
-THOUSANDS.—
Major E. H. Almand was the
only candidate for mayor, but
there were two tickets out for
councilmen and school board.
After the contest was over and
the votes counted out it was
known that E. H. Almand is our
mayor for the ensuing year, be¬
ginning Jan. 1. He is a worthy
young man, well qualified for
the place, and one in whom the
He will make an efficient and
faithful officer.
The mass meeting ticket for
councilmen and school board
was elected by a handsome ma¬
jority, though we haven’t the
number of votes polled at hand
to publish. The following gen¬
tlemen in whom the people con¬
fide to conduct city affairs to the
best of their ability were elected:
C. E. Reagan, ,J T. Adair, W.
V. Almand, L. H. Sigman, A,
N. Plunkett and J. M. Huff.
School board: Cols. J. N. Glenn,

Some Medicines belong to one
season and some to another.
DR. KING’S ROYAL GERMETUER
IS IN SEASON ALL THE YEftF* ROUND.
IN THE SPRING
It purifies the blood, removes languor
and depression, invigorates and exhila¬
rates the whole system.
IN THE SUMMER
It overcomes the relaxation and debility
caused bowel by hot weather and corrects
troubles that are so prevalent
then. Besides, it makes the most de¬
lightful and refreshing drink.
IN THE FALL
When malaria “rides on .every passing
breeze,” it is the great preventive and
the unfailing cure of troubles result¬
ing from that cause.
IN THE WINTER
It is still needed for curing Colds, Grip,
Catarrh, Rheumatism, and the ills that
belong to cold seasons.
It does these things, not in a feeble
and uncertain way, but with scoured
and triumphant power.
Keep It in the Home at All Times.
