boys and the Richardsville team
under the management of Mr.
IK. Norman. This game
suited in a score of 9 to (i in
favor of Richardsville. This
was the first game our boys had
played tins season and they
were uot thoroughly eilltiated,
besides this the Richardsville
team is one of the strongest
amateur clubs in this section.
This team has played several
games this season and lost none,
The hardest game they have

ville. The second game was
played oil the Conyers ground
Wednesday evening between
Conyers and Stone Mountain.
The visiting team was made up
of players from Atlanta and
other places and played a strong
game. From start to finish the
game was hotly contested and
it was anybody’s until the last
man was out in the ninth in¬
ning. At the close of the game
the score stood 9 and 7 iu favor
of the home boys.
There were many features
in the game, the greatest being
the rank decisions of the um¬
pire. What he dosen’t know
about the game would positively
fill Spalding’s rule book.
The batteries were: Conyers;
Norman and McDonald. St.
Mountain; Vaughn and Bryan.
The home run drive and mag¬
nificent pitching of Norman at
critical points in the game
brought down both grandstand
and bleechers. Norman uses
more head work than any ama¬
teur pitcher in the country.
He is an all-around ball player.
D. M. Almand, in right field,
for Conyers, raked in the coin
after pulling down a couple of
long sky scrapers.
We haven’t space to make
mention of all the boys who
played jam up ball. Every man
on the team did his whole duty
and the great crowd out to see
the game were well pleased.
