Death,
Mrs. White, mother of Messrs.
Hugh and W. A. White, died at
Mr. Hugh White's home, near
the city, last Wednesday
evening Mrs. White was 83
years old, and had been very
"feeble for some time. She was
the wife of uncle Bobbie White,
who was one of the first citizens
of Conyers. Mrs. White was a
good christain woman, having
been a member of tne Metlio
dist church for a great nurn

vices conducted by Dr. Quigg,
at the Methodist church the in¬
terment occurred in Rockdale
cemetery.

work on the Gailey Co’s, new

week, and Mr. Chas. Gailey in¬
forms us that he will be ready
for business by the middle of
tho week at the outside. He
has already planted his elegant
fount and the principal portion
of his stock has arrived, so that
when he begins to open up he
will be able to make quick work
of it. The room will be a beau¬
tiful one in every respect.
Nothing To Kick At,
The election in this county
last Wednesday was one of the
cleanest in the history of the
county. Pulling and dragging
voters to the polls was conspic¬
uous for its almost total absence.
The election managers were fair
and harmonious in every partic¬
ular and all voters were allowed
to exercise their franchise when
their names were duly register¬
ed. The count was fair and
accurate and everybody seems
to he perfectly satisfied with
tho result. There will he no
charges of fraud and no threat¬
ened contests. In fact Wednes¬
day’s was a model election,
