SHE CUT OFF HIS
TAIL.
A curious ease of hostile hair
cutting resulted in litigation in
1791. It is reported fropi York,
Oct. 15 of that year;
“A cause for cropping was
last week at the sessions
at Barnsley, in Yorkshire, an
action being brought against Mr.
Poole and his lady of that place
by Mr. Stagg, an attorney, for
an assault. The charge lay chief¬
ly against Mrs. Poole, as in an
affray between Mr. Stagg and
her husband it appeared she cut
off the tail of the former, The
investigation was a continued
source of pleasantry to the
court, thougha verdict was giv¬
en in favor of Mr. Stagg.“

Catarrh Poisons.
Catarrh is capable of chang¬
ing ail the life-giving secretions
of the body into scalding fluids,
which destroy and inflame
every part they come in con¬
tact with. Applications to
the places affected by catarib
can do little good save to soothe
or quiet disagreeable symp¬
toms, Hence it is that gargles,
sprays, atomizers and inhalants
only serve as temporary relief.
Any medicine to effect a cuie
must be taken into the sys¬
tem ■
So long as the irritating sec¬
retions of catarrh continue to
be formed so. long will the
membranes continue to be in¬
flamed, no matter what treat
meat is used. There is bui
one remedy that has this most
desirable effect, and that rem¬
edy is Pe-ru-na. This remedy
strikes at once to the root of the
catarrh by restoring to the ca¬
pillary vessels their healthy
elasticity, Pe-ru-na is not a
temporary palliative, but a rad¬
ical cure. Send for Dr. Hart¬

We have just arrived in Conyers
with a car load of horses and mules
to be sold cheap for cash or approv¬
ed notes. We will exchange good
young stock for old. Remember that
we buy our stock from the people
that raise them and can compete
with any market in prices. We will
be in Conyers throughout the entire
season. We guarantee satisfaction
as each horse is represented.
Call and see us when you are in
Conyers. Respectfully,

GOOD STOCK HAR

We call the attention of read
ers to the various advertisements
of Messrs, Kemp & Parker in
this issue of (he Weekly. These
gentlemen have enteied the
stock market here and will l e in
Conyers pemiently in the future.
They handle the very best of
stock and are ready and waiting
for business.
Conyers is one of the ver^
best stock markets in the statt
and farmers are learning to
come for the purpose of buying
mules and horses. They come
to Conyers for two reasons;
They get good stock and buy
cheaper here than they can at
other places, We have several
citizens who handle stock the
year round and this new addi¬
tion to the market will stim¬
ulate the business and give far¬
mers a showing to get better
stock cheaper than ever before.
We are confident that more
mules will be sold in Conyers
this year than ever before and
at prices most reasonable.
It' the farmers of this and sur¬
rounding counties will make it
a point to come to Conyers to
buy their stock it will be big
money in their pockets, sure'

So give Christ the best! 0
young men, strong and eager,
And concious of your own a
bounding life,
Ready to throw your soul’s

Into some noble cause or low

Christ Jesus was a young man,
strong and brave,
Give him your heart’s al¬

The best you have.
And you in whom the same
young life is thobbing,
But with a steadier pulse and
gentler How,
Whose hearts was made for
sacrifice and loving,
Whose soul’s ideals grow
with you as you grow,

And of your heart’s devo

Try talking it down, Say all

^om the Mayor clean on down
to the humble nightwatch. Let
nothing or no one escape your
holy wrath. If this don’t fetch
it, then just spend all your
money with other people. Don’t
spend any at home, Send off
after everything that you buy.
Don’t patronize anything or
any kind of business that is
carried on in your town, but be
miming around
with a full hand and a good
word for some other town. If
you are a church member have
your membership somewhere

in the church at home. Be at

with those who would do right
and who are making an hon¬
