hours last Monday evening and
found the town very lively.

Miss Floride Tucker, left Thursday
morning for her second year at Vir¬
ginia College, at Roanoke, She is one
of our most splendid young ladies and
easily advances in her classes.

Miss Ethel Alrnand, of Washing¬
ton joined her cousin, Miss Sadie Hale
here last Wednesday and on Thursday
they left to enter college at Roanoke,
Va. These are bright youngladiesand
will make battering progress.
Dr. Jones has sold his new home
place on Decatur street to Mr. McGin
tv, of Watkinsville, and is to give pos¬
session October 1st. We understand
that Dr. Jones will buy and build a

The Stone Mountain Baptist As
soc iation met with Salem church,
7 miles East of Conyers, last Mori'
day and was in session until Thurs¬
day noon.
The meeting was called to order
by the moderator, Rev. S. Y. Jamo
son, of Atlanta.

and ltev. Dr, McDonald made the

buildings of the Association, less

The death of Mrs. Jno. Par
