Mr. J T Wallis is with his par¬
ents here to recover from injuries
received by being thrown from a
vmgon by a frightened horse.
His injuries are not serious.

Death.
The death of Mrs. W Z Sterling
occurred at her home near Conyers
last Sunday "morning after a short
illness, Mrs. Sterling was a good
Christian lady and the summons
from above found her ready to go.
She was loved and respected by all
who knew her kindness of heart and
generous disposition.
She leaves a husband and son,
and relatives and friends to mourn,
After the funeral service the inter¬
ment occurred in the Almand
burying ground.
To the bereaved husband and
relatives we tender our sympathy.
A Good Woman Gone.
Mrs. J. N. Hale died at her
home in this city Sunday morning
at 5 o’clock. For more than a
year she was confined to her room.
She could not speak above a
whisper and was so weak she was
virtually helpless. Through all
this suffering she exhibited an
unwavering faith, in her Master
and bore her afflictions with chris
tion fortitude. She was a devot¬
ed member of the Baptist church
and lived according to the teach¬
ings of its faith. She was devot¬
ed to her husband and family and
faithful in her duty to them to the
end.
She earned • j u by u her husband u u j

to Florida in the spring where she
spent several months with the hope
of regaining her health, and she
did improve some but upon return
ing to her home a gradual decline
set in with the sad result of last
Saturday morning.
Just before the final summons
came slm talked beautifully to
those about her and hade her chiU
dren live right and meet her in the
great beyond.
She leaves a husband, four
daughters and many relatives and
friends to mourn her loss,
The funeral service was con
ducted at the residence by Rev,

Monday morning, after which
the remains were interred m the
Rockdale cemetery.

Dukes.
