manufacturing
The importance of manufacturing
enterprises for Conyers and Rockdale
county has been set forth and ui'ged
in the columns of the Weekly time
and again, but so far nothing has ma¬
terialized, all has ended as it started
—in talk, There seems to be no dis¬
position on the part of our citizens to
do anything to war a the upbuilding
of the town. The necessity for man¬
ufacturing enterprises in Conyers is
apparent, and we must have them it
we would keep pacf with our sister
towns. But keeping up with other
towns is not the greatest apparent
need of factories here; they would
employ our now idle p <>ple and pre¬
vent many of our hoys from being
forced to other towns and states to
get remunerative employment. The
only way we can hold our own and
grow is to build factories and give
the people employment.
