A Bill to be entit’ed an act authoriz
mg the issue of bonds of the Slate of
Georgia for the redemption of certain
bonds of the S'ale ot Georgia tailing
d ie in three years, and to reduce the
rate of interest on the same.

met, and it is hereby enacted by the
authority of the same, That the G )vern

From the above it will be seen, says
the Macon Telegraph and Messenger,
that a feasible method has been devised
to meet the bonded debt of the State as
fast as it falls due, by tiio issue df other
bonds with coupons attached bearing 4
per cent, interest, and duly signed by the
Governor and proper officials, with six
years to run.
These bonds issued in denominations
of fives, tens, e c., up to one hundred
dollars, with interest payable annually in
all of our principal cities, and construct
ed of the same size as greenback bills,
will sell like hot cakes in the market,
