Willie James "LifBfro" Jones
May 6, 1947 - June 19, 2007
Although you are not here, your family wishes you
another year of laughter, joy, fun and a few tears. We
know you are doing better above. So as your birthday
comes and goes we are thinking of you and love you
more than you can ever know.
Sadly missed by your loving wife, children,
grandchildren, relatives and friends
Edwina Enfinger
Edwina Enfinger, 81, of Brandon, Fla., was called home
Saturday May 3, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She is sur
vived by her husband of 42 years, Wayne Enfinger; eight
children, Bonnie Brown, of Miami, Fla., Pendleton
Brown(Janee) of Cumming, Nancy Brownlow(David), of
Santa Fe, NM, Robin Vaughan (Allen), of Alton, Ill.,
Susan Stephen(Peter), of Crystal Lake, Ill., Abbie Bunn
(Nipper) of Forsyth, Jill Egger (Garth) of Brandon, Fla.,
Ashley Enfinger(Selena), of Mulberry, Fla.; 11 precious
grandchildren; sister, Stashia Cournoyer of Plant City,
Fla. and a twin Brother Edwin Sespaniak of Apopka, Fla.
She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St.
Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Mango, Fla. Edwina
enjoyed dancing to Polka music, playing cards and was
an avid Bingo player.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday May
17 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Interment
will be at Limona Chapel Cemetery, Brandon, Fla.
Donations may be made to the ALS Association.

branch of Monroe County Bank for four years. When she's
not helping customers, she's often making connections in her
community through events like Business After Hours.
Bamie Rivers Cook
September 11,1916 -April 29,2008
Bamie Rivers Cook, 91, of Brookwood Avenue, Jackson
died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Spalding Regional
Medical Center in Griffin.
She was born in Henry County Sept. 11, 1916, daugh
ter of the late John J “Bud” Rivers and Gertrude
Woodard Rivers. She was a life-long member of the
Macedonia Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cook was a dental hygienist for many years, work
ing with Dr. Strickland in Jackson and retiring with Dr.
Mitchell in Forsyth. She was a former member of the
Jackson Business and Professional Women’s
Organization.
Mrs. Cook is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 1 in the
chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Lane Sanders and
Dr. Ed Hoard officiated, with interment in the Jackson
City Cemetery.
Haisten Funeral Home of Jackson had charge of
arrangements.
James Thomas
Mr. James "Bubba" Thomas, passed away April 27,
2008. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 30,
2008 at St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church
with burial in Rest Haven cemetery. Rev. C.W. Dumas Sr.
officiated.
He was an educator for more than 30 years in the
Monroe County school system. He was a member of St.
Luke AME Church.
He is survived by his wife Alice C. Thomas; sons, Brian
(Lucille) Thomas of Macon, Jason Thomas of Atlanta and
Brandon Thomas of Forsyth; sisters, Mary Ridley and
Laura (Lewis) Reddin; brother, Robert (Evelyn) Thomas
and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Willis Funeral
Home in Forsyth.
Dennis James Gordon
Dennis Gordon passed away on April 24, 2008. Services
were held Wednesday, April 30 at the Temple of God
Apostolic Church of Promise.
Precious memories will forever live in the hearts of his
loving wife Patricia Gordon; mother, Mrs. Annie M.
Gordon of Forsyth; four sons, Christopher, Derrick, Deion,
and Devoris of Macon; three brothers, James Gordon
(Gwen) of Macon, Jerry Gordon, Ocala, Fla., Garrett
Gordon (Bobbie) of Bolingbroke; four sisters, Geneva
Mathis, Lithonia, Patricia Hughley (Paul), Macon, Joann
Howard (Curtis), Byron, Dyann Sullivan (Marvin) of
Forsyth.
The family may be contacted at 2560 Anderson Dr.
Bentley and Sons Funeral Home of Macon had charge of
the arrangements.
Ronald J. Hardcastle
Mr. Ronald J. Hardcastle, 61, of Griffin passed away on
Sunday, May 4, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 7 in
the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor
Eddie Webb will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak
Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday
from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hardcastle was born in Sacramento, Cal. He was
preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Hardcastle. He
was a member of the Northside Congregational Holiness
Church in Forsyth and had worked as a millwright car
penter.
Survivors include daughters, Darla and James Floyd of
Griffin, April Mays of Forsyth, Amber and T. J. Simmons
of Griffin, Christy and Matthew Willis of Florida; son,
Ronald J. Hardcastle, Jr. of Florida; mother, Audrey
Hardcastle of California; father and step-mother, Robert
and Inez Hardcastle of Washington; brother, Bob
Hardcastle of Alaska; grandchildren, Ariana, Deaven
Floyd, Morgan, Matthew Willis, Brianna, Courtney
Simmons, Christian, Katden, Aliyah Mays, Jasmyn
Jenkins, Brittni, Elizabeth, Tyler and James Hardcastle.

Robert Jones
Robert Jones, 85, of Forsyth died Friday, May 2, 2008 at
his residence. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. on
Wednesday, May 7 at Hopewell United Methodist
Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his children, Margaret Jones Walker,
Johnny Jones, Willie Frank Jones and Betty Jones, 13
grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters Hattie
Mae Alford and Christine Hughley, all of Forsyth.
Freeman Funeral Home of Forsyth was in charge of
arrangements.
