The Public Record
Incidents
The Forsyth Police
Department reported the
following incidents Aug. 2-
4:
August 2
•5:50 a.m. A police officer
was dispatched to the
Regency Inn in reference
to two occupants arguing
about money. A crack pipe
was found on the night-
stand in the room. One of
the occupants admitted it
was her’s and was arrest
ed.
August 3
•3:45 a.m. Police officers
were dispatched to the U-
Haul dealership on Hwy.
83 north in reference to a
burglary. Officers found
three people sitting out
side a storage unit inside a
red Jeep. The suspects
were questioned and one of
the passengers had a plas
tic bag of marijuana. The
car also had a large bag of
marijuana inside it. While
at the detention center, the
same passenger was found
to have a smaller bag of
marijuana on him.
Passenger and driver were
charged with possession of
marijuana.
August 4
•4 p.m. Officer Brittian
stopped a Chevy Impala
for tinted windows. The
driver said he didn’t have
a driver’s license and all
he had was an ID card. He
said he was driving
because everyone in the
car was tired. He was
arrested for driving with
out a license and illegal
window tint. The rear pas
senger also received a cita
tion for open container and
was released.
The Monroe County
Sheriff’s Office reported
the following incidents
Aug. 1-5:
August 2
•10:45 p.m.Deputy C.
King was dispatched to
Ham Road in reference to
property damage. The
owners of the property
said the house was rented
to a couple. When the own
ers arrived at the house to
inspect the condition of the
property after the couple
moved out, the inside of
the home was damaged to
a large degree. There were
also some items that were
stored on the property by
the owners that were miss
ing. The value of these
items is thought to be
around $3,000, while the
damage amount to the
home was still unknown.
When the owner contacted
the renters, they denied
having any knowledge of
the missing items.The
owner said the couple were
the only ones to have
access to the items and
had asked about buying
some of them at one time.
August 3
•1:32 p.m. Cpl.
Coughenour III was dis
patched to Luther Smith
Road in reference to a
deceased person. The vic
tim was found by the
boyfriend lying on the bed
and was unresponsive. The
first EMT on scene
removed the victim from
the bed and placed her on
the floor so as to start
CPR. The victim had heart
problems and appeared to
have passed away from a
heart attack. The coroner
was contacted and the vic
tim was turned over to the
Monroe County Memorial
Chapel.
August 4
•10:54 a.m. A com
plainant said someone has
been entering the house
and staying over night.
The home is abandoned
due to a recent death of
the owner. A window was
busted at the rear of the
residence and a lock on the
side door had been tam
pered with.
•8:59 p.m. A John Paul
Road resident said he
arrived home around 7
p.m. and found the front
door kicked in and the
back door pried open. He
says he has no idea who
may have committed the
act. He said some of his
kitchenware, a weight
bench with weights and a
computer scanner were
missing. The estimated
cost of the stolen property
is $710. He was told to
contact the Monroe County
Sheriffs Office if he dis
covered any other items
missing or gained informa
tion on who might have
done it.
August 5
•6:30 p.m. A Terrance
Oak Dr. resident said his 7-
year-old son had been bit
ten by the neighbor’s dog
and was being treated at
the Monroe County
Hospital for his injuries.
The neighbor’s daughter
said the complainant’s son
went up to the dog with a
stick in his hand, causing
the Rottweiler to bite him.
The neighbor said the dog
had never bitten anyone
before. The dog had a 2008
rabies tag on its collar and
the neighbor said it is up
to date on its shots. It was
determined no irresponsi
bility of the owner con
tributed to the child being
bit.

means a person has been charged with a crime
but the law considers them innocent until
proven guilty.

•1:44 p.m. Shetara Serita Norwood, Forsyth,
disorderly conduct.
Aug. 2
•1:43 a.m. Quincy Leonard Smith, Atlanta,
DUI, improper stopping in roadway .
•6:29 a.m. Brenda Joyce Moore, Forsyth, pos
session of drug related objects.
•11:02 a.m. Linette F George, Hawkinsville,
speeding, improper tag, child restraint, disor
derly conduct.
•1:15 p.m. Virginia Lynn Bruner, Forsyth,
criminal damage to property in first degree.
•8:32 p.m. Brandon Benitez, Forsyth, posses
sion of alcohol by underage person, open con
tainer, failure to maintain lane.

•8:39 p.m. Chad Ward, possession of alcohol
by minor.
August 3
•12 a.m. Pamela Pollock, Forsyth, simple
battery, terroristic threats.
•5:38 a.m. Milton Freels, Atlanta, possession
of marijuana .
•10:20 p.m. Patrick Jason Smith, Forsyth,
disorderly conduct.
August 4
•3:43 p.m. Rachel Lynn Barber, Gordon, theft
by taking.
August 5
•7:14 a.m. Nakeesa Hodges, Forsyth, simple
battery, criminal trespass.
•4:14 p.m. Carissas Shandrell Douglas,
Jackson, forgery in first degree.
August 6
•10:05 a.m. Amanda Grubb,
Manchester, KY, obstruction.
•10:24 a.m. Rosa Lee Robinson,
Lagrange, burglary, theft by taking.
•10:35 a.m. Dallas D. Demille,

•11:44 a.m. Angela Nicole Lane,
