Jim Wiley Fordham
January 14,1950 - August 5,2008
Jim Wiley Fordham, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Aug. 9 at
Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Manley officiated.
Mr. Fordham, the son of the late Leon Wiley Fordham
and Willie Mae Poole Fordham, was born Jan. 14, 1950,
in Bibb County. His sister, Phyllis Chapman preceded
him in death. Mr. Fordham was in mobile home sales
and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having
served during Vietnam.
Survivors include his children, Jim Fordham of
Fairburn, Billy Fordham of Lizella, Joey (Lori) Fordham
of Lizella and John Fordham of Lizella; sister, Cheryl
(Olan) Johnson of Juliette; brothers, Robert “Buddy”
(Tricia) Fordham of Elko and Michael (Lisa) Fordham of
Macon; grandchildren, Star, Cheyenne and Wes, Jr.;
devoted niece and caregiver, Jessica (Daniel) Fullmore of
Juliette; 16 nieces and nephews; devoted friends, Brian
and Sandie Gill and their son, Randy of Macon; and his
beloved four legged best friend, Valentine.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to
Hospice of Central Georgia, PO Box 6533, Macon, GA
31208.

Mary Jessie Fawbush
June 27,1934 - August 3,2008
Mary Jessie Fawbush of Juliette died Sunday, Aug. 3,
2008 after a long battle with cancer. A memorial service
was held Saturday, Aug. 9 at The Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah's Witnesses in Macon. She will be interred in
Everest Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.
Mrs. Fawbush was born June 27, 1934 to Frank and
Mary Jane Hartshorne at Chouteau, Okla. In 1945 her
family, including her three brothers, Byron, Lloyd, and
Frank, Jr. moved to Peru, Indiana where she graduated
from Peru High School. She completed studies at Indiana
University at Kokomo with a degree in secretarial skills.
She worked until retiring in 2000 as a bookkeeper. In
1955 she moved to Kokomo, Indiana, met and married
Ernest Wilbur Fawbush on August 21,1955. They had
one son, Ernest, Jr.
Jessie was a faithful member of Jehovah's Witnesses all
of her life. Remaining family includes her son and his
wife Kathy; her two granddaughters, Erika and Sarah
Fawbush; along with other extended family members.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel in Forsyth had
charge of the arrangements.
Rose Ann Pennington
Rose Ann Pennington died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. at
Unionville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Carl
Marshall, pastor, and the Rev. Charles Dumas officiated.
Interment followed in the Rest Haven Cemetary in
Forsyth. Bentley’s Funeral Home in Barnesville and
Choice Funeral Services, Inc. in Forsyth were in charge
of the services.
Survivors include a devoted companion, Grover Evans
of Forsyth; three children, Leonard Pennington, Michael
Pennington (Susan) and Wandra Pennington of Forsyth;
four grandchildren, Damion, Jamichael, Cordius and
Dedrick; five sisters, Abbie Rogers (James), Diane
Pennington High (Eddie Frank) of Forsyth; Linda
Pennington of Griffin; Jesstine and Bessie Pennington of
Forsyth; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Evans and Fannie Mae
Watts of Barnesville; a host of nieces, nephews and close
friends who will miss her dearly.

Robert Jacquan Smith
Robert Jacquan Smith, 23, of Macon, died Monday, July
28, 2008. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 1 at
Union Hill Baptist Church.
He was grandson of the late Deacon Harvey and the
late Mrs. Bertha Lindsey Cofer.
Survivors include parents, Simon Smith and the Rev.
Patricia Cofer Smith; sister, Ashley Smith, and a host of
uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home of Forsyth had charge of the
arrangements.
Thelma Ida Stephens
September 20,1921 - August 9,2008
Thelma Ida Stephens of Forsyth died Saturday, August
9, 2008. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 11 at
Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Monroe
Hills Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Henry Vaughn offici
ated.
Mrs. Stephens, the daughter of the late Emmett and
Clara McKnight Ramsey was born September 20, 1921 in
Fayetteville, WV. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Stephens of
Forsyth, children, Jimmy Stephens (Ann Childre) of
Forsyth; Carol Stephens of Forsyth, Kathi Stephens
Hodges (Charlie) of Brookhaven, Miss., Renee Stephens
Caswell of Forsyth; brothers, Bob Ramsey of Portsmouth,
Virginia and Billy Ramsey of Barnesville; sisters, Jackie
DeBary of Newton, Vivian Abbott of Thomaston, Patsy
Stephens of Warner Robins, Cubby Parker of Pittsboro,
NC and Shelby Sosebee of Lula; 10 grandchildren and 12
great grandchildren.

S. Alvin Hunnicutt
October 1,1942 - August 6,2008
S. Alvin Hunnicutt died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 8 at Shiloh
Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The
Rev. Jessie Richardson officiated.
Mr. Hunnicutt, the son of the late Charlie Alvin
Hunnicutt and Georgia Mae Chambers Hunnicutt was
born Oct. 1, 1942, in Monroe County. He was employed
with the American Train Dispatchers Association. Mr.
Hunnicutt was a veteran of the Georgia Army National
Guard and a member of Forsyth Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife, Paulette Hunnicutt of
Juliette; children, Keith and Gayla Hunnicutt of Juliette,
Cindy and Glen Goens of Jackson, Allison Grant of
Juliette and Nick and Tonia Hunnicutt of Juliette; sister,
Mary Reems of Juliette; grandchildren, Dani Newton,
A.J. Hunnicutt, Jordan Grant, Kyla Hunnicutt, Bethany
Hunnicutt and Logan Hunnicutt.
