Mr. and Mrs. Keith Warren
Murray, Warren
Rachel Murray and Keith Warren were united in
marriage on Saturday April 12, 2008 at Seabrook
Island Club on Seabrook Island, S.C. The half past five
seaside ceremony was officiated by the honorable
Nancy L. Rowe. Preceding the ceremony classical nup
tial music was provided by a harpist.
Rachel is the daughter of Ron and Barbara York of
Charlotte, N.C. and Russ Murray of Clearwater, Neb.
She is a graduate of Vance High School in Charlotte
and is presently completing her nursing degree at
Florence-Darlington College in Florence. She is cur
rently working as a vetinary tech with Hewitt Animal
Clinic in Florence.
Keith is the son of Jerry and Marcia Warren of
Bolingbroke. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Warren, the late R.L. Heard of Colquitt,
and Mrs. Mable Byrd of Dawson. He is a graduate of
Stratford Academy in Macon and received his bache
lors degree from the University of Georgia. He is a
managing partner with Long Horn Restaurant in
Florence.
Bridesmaids were Regilyn Warren Fish,sister of the
groom, Luellyn Piver, Betsy Thompson, and Miranda
Murray, the bride’s sister and maid of honor.
Jerry Warren served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were John Rawls III, Dr. Alec Katz, Jason
Ghelli, and Brock Murray, brother of the bride. Malik
White was the ring bearer.
Rachel wore an elegant fitted white strapless crepe
gown with beaded bodice and a sheer overlay of exten
sive embroidery and beading that formed a chapel
length train. To complement her gown the bride wore a
silver and crystal tiara and a satin corded fingertip
veil. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and
stephanoitis accented with pink swarvoski crystals
and wrapped with a handkerchief belonging to her
paternal grandfather, the late Delbert Kallhoff.
Vows were exchanged underneath an iron arbor cov
ered with smilax, magnolia, fern fronds, and lilies. It
was brought to the site by the bridal couple for the
ceremony and to be placed in their home garden after
wards.
Following the ceremony the couple greeted guests
briefly at the beachside pavilion for cocktails and hors
d’oeuvres before the seated reception at the upper ball
room began. Music was provided by The Square Roots
of Charlotte, N.C. The couple departed as guests
formed an archway of lit long tapered sparklers.
Following their honeymoon to Maui, Hawaii the couple
now resides at their home in Florence.

Phillips promoted in Army
Sgt. Arthur P. Phillips III
of Forsyth was promoted to
rank of SSG in the U.S.
Army on Oct. 1. SSG
Phillips has served for nine
years. He is now working
at Walter Reed Army
Medical Center as the
European Theater
(USAREUR 7th Army)
LNO in direct support of
OIF/OEF.
SSG Phillips is married
to Melanie and has two
children, Lakeisha, 8, and
Christopher, 4.
SSG Phillips is the
youngest son of Forsyth
Police Chief Arthur P.
Phillips Jr. and Loretta
Catchings.
Caldwell inducted
Dr. Craig Caldwell of Forsyth, first row kneeling, second from left,
was recently inducted as a Fellow in the American College of
Physicians. The 2008 Annual Session was held in Washington,
D.C. and was attended by the largest international contingent
ever. A total of 658 new fellows were inducted, including 17 from
Georgia (shown in above photo). To Caldwell’s left is Dr. Vincent
Nicholais, the Governor of the Georgia Chapter of the American
College of Physicians.
Lauren Marie Fountain and Thomas Allan Dye
Dye, Fountain
Dr. and Mrs. J. Robert Fountain of Forsyth announce
the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their
daughter, Lauren Marie Fountain, to Thomas Allan Dye
of Savannah, son of Mrs. Susan Collins and the late
Allan F. Dye of Clayton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. John George and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Fountain, all of Dublin. She is a 2002 graduate of Mary
Persons High School. She is a licensed massage therapist
and is currently employed at Coliseum Medical Center in
the radiology department.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Francis Dye of Irondale, Ohio and the late Mr. and
Mrs. Jack McKenny of Savannah. He is a graduate fo
Ogeechee Technical College of Savannah and is employed
at Southern Forest Industries.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at 6
p.m. at First Baptist Church of Forsyth.
