Some little hands
Hawkins, Westbury wed
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Westbury of Monroe County
announce the wedding of their daughter, Miss
Samanda Grace Westbury, to Mr. Clint Douglas
Hawkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Massey E. Hawkins of
Monroe County, on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008 in
Barnesville. Kathrin Martin officiated.
Samanda is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
L. Lester of Barnesville. She is a graduate of
Southwest High School in Macon.
Clint is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Spear of
Monroe County. He is a graduate of Mary Persons
High School and is self-employed with Hawkins
Construction.
The reception was held at the couple’s home and the
couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn. They will
reside in Forsyth.

the Jackson Police Dept,
and Matt is a Sgt. with
the Butts County
Sheriff’s Dept.
The twins were not due
until Dec. 19. Madison
Nicole weighed 1.14
pounds and her sister
Morgan Abigail weighed
2.03 pounds. Madison
remains at the Henry
County Medical Center in
the NCIU. Morgan has
been transferred to
Scottish Rite Hospital in
Atlanta and had open
heart surgery and intes
tinal surgery. Matt and
Holly haven’t been able to
work and the bills are
piling up.

Ocie Walker of Forsyth announces the engagement of
her daughter, Miss Pamela Walker, to Albert Peyton
Lawson Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert P. Lawson Sr.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Willie
C. Walker, Jr. and the granddaughter of the late Willie
and Velma Moran Sr. and the late Willie and Thelma
Walker, Sr., all of Forsyth.
She is a graduate of Mary Persons High School and
graduated with honors from Central Georgia Technical
College in Macon with an Associate Degree of
Accounting. She is now an accountant for the Bibb
County government.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Ruth Herring of
Macon. He is a graduate of Central High School in
Macon and a graduate of Albany Technical College in
Albany, with a diploma and certificate in Computer
Information Systems. He also graduated from Macon
State College with both an associate and a bachelor
degree in information technology. He is now a teacher
for the Bibb County Board of Education.
Both the bride and groom-elect reside in Macon.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008
at Little Rogers C.M.E. Church.

tion.
Morris studied speech commu
nications at the University of
Georgia where she graduated
magna cum laude and later
attended Georgia State Alyssa Morris
University College of Law where
she graduated second in her class.
While in school, she was a member of the Georgia State
Law Review and Phi Alpha Delta.
A Forsyth native, she enjoys spending time with her
husband and being outdoors.
