Save a Pet wins tree trimming contest
The Taylor House sponsored the
first Forsyth tree trimming tour
and contest last month. The event,
open to local businesses and chari
ties, was an opportunity for friendly
competition, advertisement and
charity.
Each of the participants decorated
a tree in the Taylor House reflect
ing the nature and theme of their
business or charitiy. A panel of
judges determined the winner. The
trees were on tour Dec. 6 and 7 for
the public to view and vote on 2nd
and 3rd place. Donations of food
items were also taken for local food
pantries.
The six participants were Save A
Pet, William Hite Collection, Dollar
General, First Franklin, 3 Dawg
Sports and Girlfriendz Boutique.
Save a Pet won first place and
receives a party for 100 hosted by
the Taylor House. They plan to turn
their prize into a fund raiser for
their charity.
Second place went to Mark
Stevens from William Hite
Collection. He won a brunch for 50.
In third place was Dollar General
and they will receive a dessert
party for 25.
Save A Pet’s tree was the first place winner o f the Taylor House’s tree trimming contest.
