Henry Schneider Fountain, Jr
Henry Schneider Fountain, Jr., 84,
passed away Tuesday night at his
residence. Funeral services will
be held at 2 p.m. Thursday,
Feb. 12 at Ebenezer United
Methodist Church with the
musical prelude beginning
at 1:45 p.m. Burial will be
in Macon Memorial Park
Cemetery. The Rev. Craig
Rikard will officiate.
Mr. Fountain, son of the
late Henry Schneider
Fountain and Aurelia Jennings
Fountain, was born in
Hawkinsville and lived in the
Middle Georgia area most of his life. He was a graduate
of Mercer University where he was a member of Kappa
Sigma Fraternity. Mr. Fountain was a veteran of the U.S.
Navy serving during World War II in the Atlantic and
Pacific. He was a communicable disease investigator
retired from the health department of the state of
Georgia. Mr. Fountain loved the outdoors and was an
avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of
Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Schneider was known by his family as “tough as nails
and as strong as leather” but with a heart of pure gold.
His love and his strength will be treasured by his family
in the days and years to come.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Jo “Jo Honey”
Burnett Fountain of Culloden; two children, Ralph D.
Herin of Macon and Beth (Mac) Brown of Culloden; five
grandchildren, Kimberly Herin, Michelle Brown and her
fiance, Dr. Allen Garrison, Lisa (Jeremy) Goodwin, Trey
Brown and Sydney Brown; numerous great grandchil
dren; his brother, William “Bill” Fountain of Fayetteville;
his sister, Martha Cooper of Albemarle, NC, and several
nieces and nephews.

al contributions to Ebenezer United Methodist Church,
4600 Thomaston Road, Macon 31210 or to Heartland
Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon 31210.

Aultman Fomby
July 5,1928 - February 7,2009
Louise “Big Mama” Aultman Fomby of Gray died
Saturday Feb. 7, 2009. Funeral services were held Feb.
10 at New Beginning Pentecostal Church with burial in
Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. The Rev. Darrell
Corbin and Mark Goolsby officiated.
Mrs. Fomby, the daughter of the late Roy Herman and
Sarah Berley Thompson was born July 5, 1928 in Cobb
County. Her husband, Lewis B. Aultman, Jr. and her
daughter Teena Evans preceded her in death. She was
retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base and Brown
and Williamson. Mrs. Fomby was a member of New
Beginning Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her children, Beppie Hudson Lyles
(Paul) of Macon, Sarah Morseman (Charles) of Gray, and
Shirley Gilland of Barnesville, grandchildren, Bill
Hudson (Deborah), Kemper Swift (William), Keran
Comer (Ray), Tammy Jackson (Terry), Stephanie Logue,
Misty Bennett (John), Chuck Morseman (Brynn), Robby
Wood (Jessica), Teri Wood, Brooke Evans and Aren
Evans, twenty-five great grandchildren, one great great
grandchild, adopted children, Toni Butts and Johnny
Etheridge.

Nettie Ruth “Sister" Freeman
Nettie Ruth “Sister” Freeman, 43, died Wednesday, Feb.
4, 2009. Funeral service was held Feb. 7 at Rocky Mount
United Methodist Church with burial in the church
cemetery.
Survivors include her mother, Annie Ruth Grier; stepfa
ther, Sylvester Grier; daughter, LaShauna Harris; a
devoted fiance, Timmie Johnson; brothers, Coral
Jonathan Freeman and Sammy Proctor; grandmother,
Lillian Franklin; step-sisters, Mattie Alford, Alice Grier,
Barbara Grier; uncle, Donald Mays. She is also survived
by four stepchildren, one niece, and a host of other family
members and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home of Forsyth had charge of the
arrangements.
H. Ray McCain
May 16,1916 - February 5,2009
H. Ray McCain, 92, of Tyrone, passed away Wednesday,
Feb. 5, 2009 at Southland Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 9 at
Carmichael-Hemperly Funeral Home in Peachtree City
with the Rev. Samuel Orr officiating. Burial was in
Cabanaiss Baptist Church cemetery.
He worked for 30 years at Southern Railroad as a car
man. He was a deacon and active member of Welcome
All/Forest Hills Baptist Church in College Park, and
later Cabaniss Baptist Church in Forsyth. He was pre
ceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mary Davis
McCain. He is survived by two sons, Tony McCain and
his wife Doris of Tyron and Michael McCain and his wife
Andrea of Lexington, SC; six grandchildren, Monya
Grantham, Kim Trentham, Toni Lindros, Wiley McCain,
Christa Friddle and Candace Wallace; seven great-grand
children; one sister, Opal Shannon; numerous nieces and
nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cabaniss
Baptist Church, 2967 Stokes Store Rd., Forsyth, Ga
31029.

Betty Ann Harris
December 25,1943 - February 4,2009
Betty Ann Harris of Culloden died Wednesday, Feb. 4,
2009. Funeral services were held Feb. 6 at Forsyth
United Methodist Church with burial in Salem Primitive
Baptist Church Cemetery, Knoxville, Ga., Crawford
County. The Revs. James Warbington, Dexter Wiggins
and David T. Scott officiated.
Mrs. Harris, the daughter of the late Dallas and Edith
Agnes Clay Maddox was born Dec. 25, 1943 in Covington,
Georgia. She was retired from the State of Georgia with
32 years of service. Mrs. Harris was the assistant direc
tor for the Regional Youth Development Center in
Griffin. She was a member and Past Grand Matron of
the Griffin Moose Lodge # 1503, a member and President
of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Post 658, in Macon and a
former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Griffin
Kiwanis Club. She was a member and song leader at
Salem Primitive Baptist Church
Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, W. F. “Billy”
Harris of Culloden, children, Tracy and Walter Barr of
McDonough, Doug and Jennifer Wiggins of Griffin,
Reverend Anthony Dexter and Tina Wiggins, Jr. of
Griffin, Tiffiny Wiggins of Hampton, stepchildren, W.
Fred Harris, Jr. of Culloden, Patsy and Phil Andrew of
Culloden, Bob and Laurie Harris of Forsyth and Johnny
and Lisa Harris of Barnesville, sister, Lorine Plunkett of
Porterdale, brothers, D. L. Maddox of Covington and R. A.
Maddox of Oxford, seventeen grandchildren and three
great grandchildren.

April 5,1952 - January 30,2009
Freddy Milton Jones, 56, of Forsyth, passed away Jan.
30, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services were held Feb.
3, at Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim
Schoolfield and Rev. Kevin Lucas officiating.
Mr. Jones was born on April 5, 1952 to the late Charlie
Alvin Jones and Mary Bussell Jones. He was a member
of Gateway Baptist Church and was retired from Bartlett
Sheet Metal Company. Mr. Jones was preceded in death
by a sister, Bernice Jacobs and one brother, Bobby Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy W. Jones of Forsyth;
three daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Brian
Windley of Youngsville, NC, Wendy and Kevin Mazer of
Forsyth, Charlee and Josh Harris of Forsyth; one son,
Johnathan Jones of Forsyth; 10 grandchildren, Josh,
Blaine, Chase, Taylor, Bubba, MiKayla, Halee, Cole,
Annie, and JJ; his mother, Mary Jones of Forsyth; two
sisters, Linnie and Jay Moser of Lake City, FL, June
Jones of Forsyth; three brothers and their wives, Walt
and Joann Jones of Forsyth, Alton and Pat Jones of
Forsyth, Jimmy and Judy Jones of Venton, PA; one broth-
er-in-law, Bob Jacobs of Twiggs County, GA; many nieces
and nephews also survive.

Zarihanna Taniyah Perkins
Zarihanna Taniyah Perkins, infant, died Jan. 26, 2009
at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. A graveside
service was held Jan. 30 at Moreland Cemetery in
Forsyth.
Survived by mother, Calvate Perkins; grandparents,
William and Peggy Perkins; uncle, Jermaine Perkins;
godmother, Danielle Jimerson, all of Forsyth.
