John Stephen Lee
December 13,1944 - February 9,2009
John Stephen Lee of High Falls died Monday, Feb. 9,
2009. Services were held Feb. 12 at the Georgia Veterans
Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. The Rev. Franklin
Etheridge officiated.
Mr. Lee, the son of the late Victor C. and Catherine
Hagerman Lee was born Dec. 13, 1944 in Bradshaw, West
Virginia. His beloved grandmother, Jane Hall and his
stepfather, Clyde Jackson preceded him in death. He was
a retired respiratory therapist and was a veteran of the
U.S. Navy, having served during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Dianne Lee of High
Falls; children, John S. Lee, Jr. of Jackson, OH, Kisha
Dawn Carlock of Stafford, VA and Erie Jane Haas of
Bremen, OH; brothers, Larry Jackson of Sunbury, OH
and Chris Jackson of Clayton, NC; six grandchildren and
many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the
United States Navy Memorial, 701 Pennsylvania Ave.,
NW, Suite 123, Washington, DC 20004-2608.

Clyde Bridges Smith, Sr.
July 23,1919 - February 12,2009
Clyde Bridges Smith, Sr. of Forsyth died Thursday, Feb.
12, 2009. Funeral services with full military honors was
held Sunday, Feb. 15 at Monroe County Memorial Chapel
with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens. Minister
Harry Goff and Minister Bill Bonner officiated.
Mr. Smith, the son of the late Raymond L. and Iva
McCullough Smith was born July 23, 1919 in Walker
County, Georgia. His wife, Thelma Neely Smith and his
son, Jerry Daniel Smith preceded him in death. Mr.
Smith retired from the United States Army with twenty-
one years of service having served during World War II
and the Korean Conflict. He was also retired from Trio
Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Judd Smith of
Macon, children, Suzanne (Ricky) Zellner of Forsyth,
Clyde B. (Debbie) Smith, Jr. of Tamassee, South Carolina,
Patricia Smith (Daniel) Krattli of Forsyth, Darrell
(Sandra) Richardson of Bogart, Georgia, Ronny (Kathy)
Richardson of Macon, Andy (Susan) Richardson of
Watkinsville, Georgia and Chuck (Robbi) Richardson of
Macon, daughter-in-law, Wanda Smith Duncan of
Sanford, Florida, sister, Ruth Janelle Smith of
Chickamauga, Georgia, sixteen grandchildren and eight
een great grandchildren.

Mary Erie Williamson
December 4,1924 - February 9,2009
Mary Erie Williamson of Forsyth died Monday, Feb. 9,
2009. Funeral services were held Feb. 11 at Monroe
County Memorial Chapel with burial in Forsyth City
Cemetery.
Mrs. Williamson, the daughter of the late Thurmond
Alfred and Esther English Turner was born Dec. 4, 1924
in Bibb County. Her husband, Robert Eden Williamson
preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and was
previously employed with the Monroe County School
System. Mrs. Williamson was a member of New
Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Robbie (Mike) Purdy of
Jonesboro, Dennis (Debbie) Williamson of Forsyth and
Carol Bradford of Macon; three grandchildren, Andrew
(Caroline) Purdy, Matt Bradford and Maggie (Robert)
Taylor; one great grandchild, Michael Taylor.
The family requests no flowers but suggest donations to
the GA Industrial Children’s Home, 4690 N. Mumford
Road, Macon, GA 31210.
