Gabriel Katzer and Natasha Ryals, both of Juliette
announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage,
March 21, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Forsyth Second Baptist
Church. Mr. Danny Parker will be officiating. A reception
will follow the wedding ceremony.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Nancy Rigsby and
Jimmy Ryals. She is the granddaughter of James E.
Batts and Annie Pearl Watson, both of Macon.
She is a sales coordinator at WalMart and a
cashier/server at Big Chic in Forsyth.
The groom-elect is the son of Terry Katzer of Tacoma,
Wash, and LaDonna Dvorak of Juliette. He is currently
employed as a maintenance man and a delivery driver.
After the wedding the couple plans to reside in Juliette.

Georgia School
of Law in 2003.
She and her
husband, Tyson
Harty, a JCHS
science teacher
and recent
STAR teacher,
moved back to
Monticello in 2006 and
graduated from Leadership
Jasper in 2007.
This year, El-Jourbagy
was invited to speak on
leadership programs at the
Georgia Rural
Development Council’s
Leadership Day at the
Capitol along with
Lieutenant Governor
Casey Cagle, House
Speaker Glenn Richardson
and talk show host Martha
Zoller, and she was a 2008
recipient of the Justice
Robert Benham Award for
Community Service award
ed by the Chief Justice’s
Commission on
Professionalism. She is a
member of the
Forsyth/Monroe County
Kiwanis Club.
The firm was founded in
the 1890s by Samuel
Rutherford, Maynord
Zellner and Carlton
Mobley and has included
many congressmen and
senators among itys mem
bers.

Hope4Heroes, Inc., in
Forsyth, is now sponsoring
two free classes exclusively
for veterans and service-
members. These classes are
ongoing.
Group Talk Sessions are
held every Tuesday at, 7:30
p.m. beginning March 17.

Creative Writing Class
meets every Thursday from

Clarence and Jackie Johnson of Forsyth announce the
engagement and forthcoming marriag of their daugh
ter, Tabatha Brown, to Roderick Goodson, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Willie James Goodson, Jr. of Forsyth.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Davis,
Louise Brown and James A. Brown, all of Forsyth.
She is the manager at Chick-Fil-A and will graduate
from nursing school inDecember 2009.
The groom-elect is the granson of Evelyn Goodson
and te late Willie James Goodson, Sr.; the late Rosa
Mae Lucear and the late Eddie J. White, all of Forsyth.
He is a 2001 cum laude graduate of Fort Valley State
University with a degree in accounting.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 14,
2009 at 6 p.m. at Williams Chapel A.M.E. Church. The
Rev. Emory Lightfoot, Jr. will be officiating.
A reception will be held at Hubbard Elementary
School following the ceremony. All members of MP
classes of 1996 and 2000 are invited to join them at
the reception.
After the wedding Tabatha and Roderick plan to live
in Forsyth.
Hammock crowned
Cherry Blossom Queen
Augusta Hammock of Forsyth was
crowned 2009 Miss Cherry
Blossom Queen at the annual pag
eant held Feb. 28 in Conyers. She
will make appearances through
out the year beginning with the
28th Annual Conyers Cherry
Blossom Festival
March 28 and
29 at the
Georgia
International
Horse Park.
She will also
be the guests
of honor at
the St.
Patrick’s Day
Parade on
March 17.
Augusta is a
senior at
Alpha Omega
Academy, an
accredited
Christian
web-based acad
emy. She has participated in local theatre productions
of Backlot Players. She competed on the Veritas Mock
Trial team and was named Outstanding Witness at
the regional competition in Macon. She is an active
volunteer for Save A Pet and is a member of the
Monroe County Arts Alliance and Future Business
Leaders of America. She attends church at Christ
Chapel at Sportstowne in Macon where she is an
active member of the youth group and drama troupe.
Augusta plans to attend Full Sail University in
Orlando, Florida to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Web
Development and Design and a Masters degree in
Internet Marketing. In 2008, she founded GenNow
Design, a web design firm and networking group.
Augusta is the daughter of Randall and Kathy
Hammock of Forsyth. She is the granddaughter of
Weta Fales and the late Rev. William D. Fales of
Hazlehurst, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L.
Hammock of Macon.
