Teens banned
from High Falls
stores after
stealing beer
At 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 21

patched to High Falls
Road in reference to
shoplifting. The cashier
said two men had
entered the store and
stolen two 22 oz. or 40 oz.
Bud Ice beers and a bag
of chips. The complainant
gave Grindstaff a
description and the name
of one suspect and said
both were teenagers. The
complainant said the sus
pects had walked behind
the store through the
area of the cabins to
access Martha Lane.
Grindstaff searched the
area and found one of the
teens, who the com
plainant positively iden
tified as one suspect. The
next day Grindstaff was
dispatched to Kelly’s
Grocery in High Falls
because a clerk said both
boys who had shoplifted
at High Falls Market
were in the parking lot of
Kelly’s and had refused
to leave until the com

police were coming. The
complainant at High
Falls Market said she
knew who had committed
the crime the day before
and gave Grindstaff the
suspects’ names. The two
men were arrested and
charged with theft by
shoplifting and are now
banned from every store
in High Falls.
