Christina Mercer and Christopher Landers
Mercer, Landers
Christina Mercer, a student at Macon State College,
is to be married to Christopher Landers, a Deputy at
the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Ms. Mercer is the
daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Christopher Mercer of
Juliette. Mr. Landers is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Stephen
Landers of Griffin. The wedding will be at sunset on
Jekyll Island on July 23. After a honeymoon cruise to
the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Monroe
County.

27.
Banks will serve as
First Vice President of
GMA’s 6th District. The
district includes cities in
the following counties:

Baldwin, Monroe,
Crawford, Bibb,
Wilkinson, Twiggs,
Peach and
Houston.
Based in Atlanta,
GMA is a volun
tary, non-profit
organization that
provides legisla
tive advocacy,
educational, employee
benefit and technical
assistance services to its
500 member cities.

Dr. and Mrs. Clell Morris
Walker, Morris
Kalie, Kara and Kenley Walker along with Luke and
Macy Morris announce the marriage of their parents:
Miss Dana Walker to Dr. Clell M. Morris. The wedding
ceremony was on July 2 at the Forsyth United Methodist
Church with the Reverend Ken Stephens officiating.
The service was attended by immediate family.
Dana is the daughter of Mr. Allen Halley of Newnan
and Ms. Argen Edwards of Centerville. Dana, a 1987
graduate of Northside High School in Warner Robins
holds an engineering degree from Mercer University,
Masters and Specialist Degrees from Georgia CoRege
and State University and is the Assistant Principal of
Instruction at Warner Robins High School.
Clell is the son of the late Dr. Kenneth T. Morris and
Mrs. Bonnie Morris of Forsyth. Dr. Morris graduated
from Mary Persons High School in 1987, A.S. Gordon
College, B.S. The University of Georgia and D.M.D. The
Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Morris serves as a den
tist at Forsyth Dental Center.

The Forsyth-Monroe County Rotary Club welcomed a new
Rotary year by installing a new president. Outgoing presi

Culloden library
receives grant
and new books
The Culloden Public Library has recently received a grant for
computer equipment and library supplies from The Rural Li
brary Project, a non-profit organization. The grant provides for
computers and
headsets, of
fice supplies,
and collection improvements, as well as energy-saving tinted window film to
lower utility bills. The Rural Library Project (www.rurallibraryproject.org), with
the support of the Betty and Davis Fitzgerald Foundation, provided the grant
to support the Culloden Library Summer Program and general library opera
tions. Chelsea Cook, a student at Gordon College, developed and is leading
the Culloden Public Library Summer Program with the theme “One World,
Many Stories.” High school student, LaQuasha White , is assisting with the
activities. Twenty students are enrolled in the six-week program from June 6
through July 21.
Kameron Lee
Perdue
Bo Perdue and Katrina Lewis announce the birth of
their son Kameron Lee Perdue on July 6, 2011.
Kameron weighed 7 pounds, 4.9 ounces and was 20
inches long.
He was welcomed by his siblings Cole and Alexis
Lewis.
His maternal grandparents are James B. Crook and
the late Lavaughn Crook. His paternal grandparents
are Betty Perdue and the late Kenny Perdue.
The Reporter travels
with the Green family
Brittany and Alyssa Green have been traveling with their
Reporter over the last 12 months. In October 2010, they
went to Gatlinburg, Tenn (above), where they are pictured
in the Smoky Mountains. In June 2011, they went to Cali
fornia and visited San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and the
Redwoods. Below, they are pictured at the Golden Gate
Bridge.
Reporter travels to Vancouver
Paul and Jane Jossey of Forsyth and their family visited
Vancouver, B.C. for their vacation and took a copy of the
Reporter. Pictured are Laurie Jossey, Jane Jossey and
Scott Jossey at Queen Elizabeth Gardens.
