Maynard Baptist has fundraiser dinner Maynard Baptist Church Women on Missions will have a grilled pork chop dinner Saturday, Jan. 26, pick up only, serving from 5- 6 p.m. For ticket informa tion, contact a Women on Missions lady from Maynard or call the church at 994-2120. Tickets are $10 each and all proceeds to go the GA program at Maynard. The meeal will consist of pork chops, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls and dessert. Ministry Cafe Sanctuary Baptist Church, 70 W. Main St. Bldg. A, Forsyth, has started a Saturday evening service open to the Community. Nicknamed "Ministry Cafe,” it begins at 6 p.m. each Saturday. It is a one-hour service led by Ministry Pastor, Jack Branan and is a contem porary service meant to attract folks that do not attend Church but is open to anyone interest ed. There are round tables and chairs, with lowered lighting, and the cafe reference relates to fresh blended/roasted coffee and hot chocolate. Also there are some com plimentary sweet cake style snacks. Jan. 27 Rock Springs cancels Mark Lowry concert The Mark Lowry concert that was sced- uled for Jan. 27 at Rock Springs Church in Milner has been canceled because Lowry fell and broke his leg. The concert by Lowry, Southern Gospel artist and comedian of the Gaither Vocal Band, will be re-scheduled for June.
