Extension Service is
presenting a Summer
Walk-a-Weigh program
on Fridays during
June 17 through July
22 from 10-11 a.m. at
the Monroe County
Recreation Department
gym. Walk-a-Weigh is
for anyone who would
like to lose weight per
manently. It focuses
on changing life style
through healthy menus
and exercise. It can
also help deal with
(and prevent) diabetes,
cardiovascular disease,
osteoporosis and other
chronic diseases. The
Rec Dept, gym offers
a cool, safe place to
walk on Fridays at the
same time as getting
good tips for healthy
meals and encourage
ment from others. For

Rotary hears about High Falls Park
High Falls State is a Monroe County Jewel. Park spokesperson Truitt Goodwin told the local Rotary Club
that this jewel offers paddleboarding classes, nature and pet hikes, 5-and-a-half acres of hiking trails and
even a twilight paddling experience for nature enthusiasts. Goodwin said family passes and senior dis
