LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Though short, we had you covered
To the editor:
I t is no secret that just prior
to this past weekend a cou
ple of our ambulances went
out of service and had to be
sent to the county shop for
repairs. Of the three ambulances
in our fleet, two of them went
down due to air conditioning-
related issues. As I am sure you
are aware,
we have had
record-high
temperatures
these past
few weeks,
and just as
it takes its
toll on your
vehicles, it
can also put
a strain on ours
as well. Rest assured though, at
no time were any of our citizens
we serve in danger or at risk of
a delayed response. Through our
department’s mutual aid agree
ments with MedPro, we ensured
all of the areas we serve were
MERCER
covered by
ambulanc
es staffed
with our
EMTs and
paramed
ics.
I expect
to get our
second
ambulance
back from
the shop
today
[Tuesday]
and the
third
ambulance
back in service by the end of the
week.
Know that we are always striv
ing to provide high-quality, rapid,
professional fire and EMS for our
county, its citizens and visitors.
You can trust that we are always
ready to help in an emergency,
and should any of our equipment
or apparatus’ ever need servicing
or replacing, we do so immediate
ly, to ensure no person is delayed
help or assistance. Thanks so
much for counting on us in an
emergency. We continue to serve
you with pride, passion and pro
fessionalism.
