Sara Jane’s
offers unique
selection, style
Terrence D. Phillips
said he opened Sara
Jane’s at 40 Harris
Street in Forsyth as a
very heart-filled project.
The shop, which sells
vintage clothing and
accessories for both men
and women and provides
additional services like
tuxedo rental, is named
for his grandmother,
Sara Jane Grier.
Not only is the shop
named for Sara Jane
Grier, it is staged using
to be the best and to
rely on God, left this life
at age 93.
Phillips, who is the son
or Arthur Phillips Jr.
and Loretta Catchings,
has the support of other
family members at Sara
Jane’s, including his
son, Douglas Phillips
who joined him at the
ribbon cutting.
Sara Jane’s is open
Thursday, Friday and
Saturday from 10 a.m.-3
p.m.

raised in Forsyth and
graduated from Mary
Persons in 1988. He
is now principal of a
middle school in Macon.
After more than two
decades in education, he
said that acquiring new
merchandise for Sara
Jane’s and working with
the store is therapeutic
for him.
Phillips said the inven
tory at- Sara Jane’s is
constantly changing.
Vintage clothing and a
wide selection of reason
ably priced ties, hand
bags, hat-s, shoes and
jewelry are featured.
The shop is just- a few
blocks from downtown,
across from Robins
Federal Credit- Union.
Every nook is packed
