Hubbard Elementary School

Lynn Grizzard will
teach 3rd grade. She
taught in Bibb County
Schools for over 10
years. She earned her
B.S. in early childhood
education from Valdosta
State, her M.S. in post
secondary education
from Troy University
and her Ed. S. in teach
ing and learning from
Liberty University. She
and her husband, Jason,
have a three-year-old
and a five-month-old.
Her hobbies are reading,
shopping and spending
time with family.
Amber Robinson will
teach in the pre-kinder
garten ACCESS pro
gram. She has worked
as a nursing assistant
for PSA (daycare for
medically fragile chil
dren) and as a substi
tute for Jones County
Schools. She earned
her Associate degree
from GMC. She and
her husband, Tommy,
together have four chil
dren. Away from school,
she enjoys watching her
children play sports,
relaxing and spending
time with family and
friends.
Billy Stephens will
teach 4th grade. He
taught 4th grade for
two years at ACE in
Macon. He is a gradu
ate of Mary Persons and
Middle Georgia State.
He is married to Jess
Stephens and spends
time away from school
with church, football,
softball and basketball.
Rebecca Arp is a P.E.
paraprofessional. She
has substituted at K.B.
Sutton and worked
in pre-kindergarten
ACCESS. She gradu
ated from Mary Persons,
earned her Associate
degree at Mercer
University and her nurs
ing assistant certifica
tion at Central Georgia
Tech and is working on
her Bachelor of educa
tion and special educa
tion. She enjoys golf,
baseball and the Georgia
Bulldogs.
Amber Raines will
teach in the pre-kinder
garten ACCESS pro
gram. She has worked
as a relief house parent
at the Masonic Home of
Georgia and at Chick-
fil-A. She graduated
from First Presbyterian
Day School and earned
her Bachelor’s in family
and children’s ministry
at Toccoa Falls College.
Away from school she
enjoys hanging with
friends and family, going
to church and shopping.
Lynicki Hollingshed
will be a 1st grade para
professional. She worked
as a kindergarten para
professional at Crawford
County Elementary.
Away from school, she
enjoys reading and mov
ies.
Leah Rucker will be a
4th and 5th grade spe
cial education teacher.
She was a K-5 resource
and co-teacher in Bibb
County Schools. She
earned a dual Bachelor’s
degree in early child
hood and special edu
cation and is working
on a graduate degree
at Georgia College and
State University. She is
a Georgia Bulldog fan
and away from school
enjoys spending time
with family, which
includes her husband,
Brett, and one-year-old
daughter.
Dawn Peluso will
work in the pre-kin
dergarten ACCESS
program. She worked
as a special education
teacher at Red Oak
Elementary in Henry
County. She earned her
Bachelor’s degree at
Mercer University and
her Master’s at Walden
University. She is mar
ried to David, and her
hobbies are gardening
and scuba diving.
Katie Whitley will
teach 3rd grade. She
taught 1st grade for
two years at Byron
Elementary and 2nd
grade for two years at
Rosa Taylor Elementary
in Bibb County. She
earned her B.S. in early
childhood education
from Georgia College
and her M.S. in elemen
tary education from
Walden University. She
is married to Patrick
and enjoys reading
and traveling. She also
teaches dance at her
new studio in Forsyth,
Simply Dance.
Tangi Smith will teach
4th grade. She was a
pre-kindergarten para
professional at T.G.
Scott for one year and
was a substitute teacher
at T.G. Scott. She gradu
ated from Mary Persons
and earned her B.S.
in early childhood and
special education from
Middle Georgia State
University. Away from
school, she works with
the youth at her church
and spends time with
family and friends.
Stephanie Steed
will teach 1st grade.
She taught 1st grade
at Hubbard Primary
from 1993-97, then
was a stay-at-home
mom. She has been a
1st grade paraprofes
sional at Hubbard for
two years. She earned
her Bachelor’s degree in
elementary education
from Columbia College.
She and her husband,
David, have three chil
dren. Away from school,
she enjoys watching her
son play in golf tourna
ments.
K.B. Sutton Elementary School

Jan Collins will be a paraprofessional in kindergar
ten. She has previously taught in the Thomas County,
Coffee County and Dougherty County school sys
tems. She earned her Bachelor’s in Health & Physical
Education at Florida State University and her Master’s
in Educational Leadership at Valdosta State University.
She is married to Morgan Collins and has three children
and four grandchildren. Her daughter, Lynn Grizzard,
will be teaching at Hubbard Elementary, and her
daughter-in-law, Kelly Collins, will be teaching at K.B.
Sutton. Her hobbies are golf, sporting events and coach
ing softball.
Kelly Collins will teach 4th grade English Language
Arts and Social Studies. She taught in Bibb County for
13 years. She earned her Bachelor’s in elementary edu
cation at Mercer University and her Masters in early
childhood education at Walden University. She and her
husband, Will, have two daughters, ages 7 and 3. Her
hobbies are UGA and Mercer sporting events, shopping
traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Jennifer Hall will teach pre-Kindergarten. She pre
vious taught for three years at Central Fellowship
Christian Academy and worked one year at ERI in
South Carolina. She earned her degree in early child
hood education at Georgia Southern. She is married to
Dallas Hall, who will teach at T.G. Scott. Her hobby is
coaching.
Laurie Parks will teach 2nd grade. She taught in Bibb
County for 19 years, five years at Jessie Rice and 14
years at McKibben Lane. Her college studies were at
University of Georgia and Georgia College. She is mar
ried to Bradley Parks, a Mary Persons graduate, and
has one step-daughter and one daughter. Her hobbies
are boating and water activities.
