Veterans Memorial on

ognize all veterans in
all branches of U.S.
Military Service, with
special recognition of
those who have had
pavers engraved in
their honor or memory
added to the memo
rial this year. Newly-
elected Towaliga Circuit
District Attorney
Jonathan Adams will
be the keynote speaker,
and there will be special
music for the occasion.
The UDC and DAR will
provide refreshments
after the program.

Fall Festival for
Friendship
The Fall Festival for
Friendship will combine
with the Monroe County
Schools Transition
Fair in a fun event for
all ages on Saturday,
Nov. 12 from 11 a.m.-
2 p.m. at the Monroe
County Recreation
Center. There will be
inflatables, face paint
ing, carnival games, a
petting zoo, cookie deco
rating and a Cornhole
Tournament. Admission
is free and activities are
free or for a minimal
charge. Maggie Renfro
and a deejay will pro
vide music. Chick-Fil-A
sandwiches and snack
items will be available
for purchase. Pavilion 4
will be the site for rep
resentatives with infor
mation about opportuni
ties after high school
for persons with dis

grand finale. Mr. and
Mrs. Claus will be in
Santa’s Workshop in
Bolingbroke to visit

parade. Pre-parade

cake walk, snacks and
