Veterans Memorial on
the courthouse lawn.

all branches of U.S.
Military Service, with
special recognition of
those who have had
pavers engraved in
their honor or memory
added to the memo
rial this year. Newly-
elected Towaliga
Circuit District
Attorney Jonathan
Adams will be the key
note speaker, and there
will be special music for
the occasion. The UDC
and DAR will provide
refreshments after the
program.

The Fall Festival for
Friendship will combine
with the Monroe County
Schools Transition Fair
in a fun event for all
ages on Saturday, Nov.
12 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
at the Monroe County
Recreation Center.

site for representatives
with information about
opportunities after
high school for persons
with disabilities. For

“The Gingerbread Man”

on Monday, Nov. 14
at 4:30 p.m. and on
Tuesday, Nov. 15 at
10:30 a.m. for the pub
lic. All tickets are $5;
children must be accom
panied by an adult.
The Troupe will also
perform shows for about
1,000 children through
arrangements with
schools, but these are
the only performances
available to the public.
“The Gingerbread Man”
is about an hour long.
The target audience
is children from pre-K
through second grade,
but there is much for
adults to enjoy as well.

The 25 th Annual
Bolingbroke Christmas
Parade will be
Saturday, Dec 3 at
3 p.m. It will travel
Rivoli Road through
beautiful downtown
Bolingbroke with Santa
and Mrs. Claus as the
grand finale. Mr. and
Mrs. Claus will be in
Santa’s Workshop in
Bolingbroke to visit
with children after the
parade. Pre-parade
festivities begin at 2
p.m. and include a
cake walk, snacks and
drinks. Bring a lawn
chair to stake a spot for
viewing the parade. For
