hours beginning this week;
the Forsyth Post Office will
close at noon on Wednes
day as well as Saturday.

Investigation continues
into alleged wrongdoing
within the city of Forsyth,
including how much the
Forsyth Holiday Inn was
billed for electricity. Mayor
Richard Truitt said Holiday
Inn has been billed some
$40,000 in electricity and
penalties.
DOT accepts a bid of $9.5
million to widen I-75 from
State Route 18 to the I-475
interchange.
Forsyth adds 65 voters to
the 2,000 already registered
as a special election for a
council seat approaches.

It appears Piggly Wiggly
is closing its Forsyth store.
Although the home office
in Alabama would not
confirm it for the Reporter,
employees have been told
so and inventory is being
reduced.
Because SPLOST funds will
be available in the near
future, the city of Forsyth is
keeping its promise to re
duce water and sewer rates.
Water bills will go down
$3.50/month and sewerage
be $2/month less effective
April 1.
