Rock Springs names STAR student, teacher
RSCA STAR student Meghan Bettis, left, with STAR teacher,

Rock Springs Christian Academy announces
Meghan Bettis and Jan Mathis as STAR student
and STAR teacher for the 2018 graduating class.
Meghan has attended RSCA since the sixth grade.
Her parents are Patrick and Meredith Bettis of
Milner. Mathis, is the Math Department. Chair and
has been teaching for 21 years with the past, three
years at. RSCA.
Determined, dedicated, and driven are all words
that, describe Meghan. During high school, Meghan
has been on the tennis and volleyball teams, Beta
club, and she serves as the pianist, for chapel pro
grams. She has been involved in dance for 13 years
and has played the piano for 11 years. Meghan
is doing an internship with the Rock Springs
Medical Clinic and works in the Rock Springs
Learning Center in the mornings before school.
She has taken dual enrollment, class with Georgia
Military College since her sophomore year. Meghan
is interested in a medical career and will attend
University of North Georgia to pursue a career as a
physical therapist.
