On Feb. 9 Monroe County
Middle School had its Valentines
Dance 2018. It was a lot of fun,
but I was kind of sad when it was
over.
I am an 8th grader and that, was
my last Middle School Valentine’s
Dance. It was definitely the most
fun one, though. I jumped
around a lot and had a bunch of
fun with- out worrying about any
body else, and that. felt, great..
We had wonderful refreshments,
a DJ, a red carpet., and places set.
up to take pictures. I’m so glad I
had friends to spend it. with!
The dance was by far a huge suc
cess!

On Feb. 9 Monroe County Middle
School had its annual Valentine’s dance!
This year’s Valentine’s Dance was by far
the best. Valentine’s dance.
This year was my last, dance in middle
school, and it. was definitely spe- cial since
next, year I’llbe in high school and we
won’t, have a Valentine’s dance. This year
was the best, because all of my friends
just circled up and we all danced togeth
er. I love how we can forget, about, school
and what’s going on and just have
fun together and just have fun. I love
dancing in big groups of people; so I
espe- daily loved doing that, will all of my
friends. The DJ was awesome, and the
food was great!
It. definitely was one for the books!

a series of obstacles, as
well as coming up with
a solu- t.ion to a water
issue, such as utilizing
waste water.
The team researched

from the flushes will spin

lower the power costs for
a school.
The Water Warriors
took home the Project.
Award for their innova

water, and received a

This year Georgia experienced something it has not experienced in a very long time... SNOW. Beautiful snow- flakes fell in the early morning of Jan. 17.1 was still asleep at the time, but I
woke up when I heard the news that it had snowed. I was so excited, I got up and went outside. It was beautiful! The snow covered all of the trees and ground! It looked like a winter wonder
land. I took many pictures and had fun playing in the snow even thought it was cold. I think one of the best parts was getting to miss school for two days! This will be something I will never
forget.

The other week it snowed a lot for Georgia! At my house the snow even stayed a few days
after it cov- ered everything. My family didn't really get that excited because most of them
just stayed inside the whole time, but I went outside a lot! I made snow angels (Maddie-
style), tumbled, had snow ball fights with my sister, and lots more. Overall this was very fun
because I got to have fun with my sister, which doesn't happen a lot because she always
starts fights. Buuttt, I'm really happy that it snowed!

The snow days that we had at Monroe County Middle School were great because we didn't
have to go to school. Also, we didn't have to make up those two days that we were absent.
During those days, I was in my neighborhood with my friends, and we rode our bikes. I also
played in the snow and had a snowball fight with Jonathan, Sonny, and Jon-Luke. In all, it
was a great time.
