Will Davis conveniently
chose to delete the vent
about his past in White
and Washington County.
I guess we finally see he
can talk it but can t take
it and uses the paper to
push his own agenda.
Please move again,

Sharing something on
social media does not
constitute entering the
political arena and it
surely isn t “running a
campaign”. At least be
educated when you vent,

Someone is a little ob

sounds like they need

pathetic! votes: 15
I live in Washington
County and I lived here
when Will Davis was
editor of the paper. He
was the best thing that
ever happened to that
paper, and it has gone
completely downhill since
he left, votes: 14

On Tuesday, April 18,
Hubbard Elementary
School became Georgia’s
newest STEM certified
school, joining the elite
list of just 37 elementary
schools across Georgia.
STEM certification (which
stands for Science, Tech
nology, Engineering, and
Mathematics) is awarded
to schools by the Georgia
Department of Education
that embrace the challenge
of implementing STEM
learning opportunities.
STEM is an integrated cur
riculum that is driven by
problem-solving, discovery,
and exploratory project/
problem-based learning.
Hubbard Elementary
Principal Jay Johnston and
his staff worked on this cer
tification for the past five
years as it entailed a rigor
ous application process that
included multiple site visits
by regional and state of
ficials, evidence of teacher
collaboration, business and
industry partnerships, high
levels of math and science
instruction, and integrated
project-based curriculum.
At a called meeting on
April 24, the Monroe
County School Board com
mended Johnston and his
staff for making this goal
become a reality.
Johnston said that
“achieving STEM certifica
tion is truly a testament to
our commitment to excel
lence.”
This approach to learning
will definitely have a posi
tive impact on the students
at Hubbard Elementary
School.

a new city maintain their love
in a new apartment unit in a
