Many of the teachers that
left retired! Teachers are
not leaving because our
schools are bad. Teachers
want to come to Monroe
County and it is often diffi

If you want to see a school

The Sheriff s Office has an
established, decade-old
policy that an employee
wishing to run for public
office must resign his/her
post. It’s not a new policy
and it’s not a change.
Don’t believe everything
you hear. “Resign to run”
policies are common,

Welcome Food Mart at
37 South Jackson Street
in Forsyth is now under
new management. Under
the guidance of owner
Ashu Raina, the store is
destined for great success.
Raina loves what he does.
He loves our community,
too, and he obviously loves
great customer service
because it shows from
the moment you enter his
store.
Raina takes pride in his
store. Owning his own
business has been a dream
in his heart for a long
time. At one time he was
homeless due to circum
stances beyond his control.
Through perseverance and
hard work he was able to
get back on his feet. He
began working for his aunt
who owns a business of her
own. His aunts business
began to prosper under
his leadership. “She saw a
drive and determination in
me that inspired her and
blessed her business at the
same time,” said Raina.
Raina now uses the same
skills and expertise to run
his own business in For
syth. Customers will not
only find a well-organized
convenience store, they will
be pleasantly surprised by
the delicious food offered
from the kitchen. The
kitchen serves fresh, home
made food guaranteed to
please the southern palate.
Delicious fried chicken,
chicken tenders, mouth
watering biscuits and rolls,
hot wings (various flavors),
pizza, fried fish, fries, onion
rings, okra and fried pickles
are some of the mouth
watering menu items.
In addition to great food,
customers are greeted by
a friendly staff who aim to
please. I invite our read
ers to drop by today and
try their great food. While
