Two Forsyth twins are wanted for
shooting and killing a Macon man
at the Circle K on Zebulon Road in
the early morning hours of April
29.
Bibb
County
depu
ties have
taken
murder
warrants
for Divine
Taylor
and
Divin
ity Taylor,
both 19,
for the
murder of 23-year-old Brandon
Washington. Both men remain at
large. Washington was found dead
of a gunshot wound to the torso
in the Circle K parking lot, said Lt.
Chris Patterson of the Bibb County
Sheriffs Office. The incident hap
pened around 1:56 a.m. Thursday.
Bibb authorities shared photos of
the twins captured on the stores
security camera. Patterson said the
men got into an altercation in the
parking lot that turned violent.
Later Thursday morning, Mon
roe County
deputies
helped
Bibb depu
ties execute
a search
warrant at
68 Wash
ington
Drive, near
the old
Hubbard
School
dorm.
Patterson said they think the twins
had left the home just before depu
ties raided it. However Patterson
said they obtained evidence in the
search that will be very helpful to
the investigation.
“Were still go
ing through the
evidence,” said
Patterson.
The home
is owned by
James Green,
and Green told
the Reporter he
rents the home
to the River
Edge mental
health facility
in Macon that
serves Monroe
County. He
wasn’t sure if
the twins lived
there, but said
he was famil
iar with them.
Green said one of the twins stole
his golf cart from his used car lot
and shop on MLK Drive last year,
but later returned it. Both Taylor
brothers had been arrested for theft
by taking last year.
Patterson said they are asking the
public for any information that will
be helpful in the investigation or in
finding the Taylor twins. Anyone
with information on their where
abouts is asked to call the Bibb
County sheriffs office at 746-9441
or 751-7500, or Macon Regional
Crimestoppers at 742-2330.

This is gonna be easy...
you know a graceful and
humble southern belle when
you’re in her presence. She’s
a loving mother and doting
wife. Let me tell you about the
most wonderful and beauti
ful lady I know. What could
be hard about glorifying one
of America’s many subtle and
quiet heroes. A picture of this
selfless woman is my mother.
And, I’m gonna make her
day on Sunday because she
has made so many of mine &
many others. She has taught
me about service, faith and
Christlikeness of sacrifice.
Modest in her successes
and faithful and triumphant in
her sadness and losses, I don’t
know a better way to describe
this perfect Georgia Peach
than to look at our family
and what we’ve built with her
leadership and energy over a
lifetime. She is very involved
at church, women’s garden
club, and anything to do with
helping others. From nursing
her parents daily for several
years to sitting and nursing
her sister who had cancer, to
comforting her brother daily
while at home with hospice.
Mom has lived in Forsyth all
her life and has been involved
in Monroe County almost as
long. She, still at over eighty
years old prepares meals for
her family, delivers food to sick
neighbors & welcomes families
of a newborn. She spoils Papa
Kelly like she loves to do, but it
doesn’t end with him.
See, the center of her love
language is giving, and she
loves to cook. So food, sweets
and hot southern meals such
as pork tenderloin, vegetable
soup, her famous pound cake
and many other sweets often
wander through her kitchen.
If you’ve visited the Joseph
house you know exactly what
I’m talking about when I say
southern hospitality. No one
ever leaves her house empty
handed without something
made with pure love, good
ness & yumminess. She loves
making our favorite meals for
every birthday and all holi
days. It makes her feel so good
to please and nurture and love
her family. My loving Mom is
the quintessential exhibition of

Monroe County
deputies helped rescue
a 72-year-old Thomas-
ton man who fell while
fishing and was stuck
in a Hwy. 74 pond for
10 hours last Tuesday,
April 27.
Angela Brice of
Thomaston told
Thomaston police
last Tuesday after
noon that her fiancee,
Danny Rogers, was
supposed to pick her
up from work but had
not shown up. She
said he had dropped
her off at work at 5:30
a.m. that morning but
failed to return to pick
her up that evening and she couldn’t reach
him, according to Thomaston police Major
Sidney Corley.
Here’s what happened next according to
the Monroe County sheriff’s report: Police
were able to find the general location of Rog
ers’ 2019 Chevrolet Trax near a pond at the
Monroe-Upson county line on Hwy. 74 using
OnStar. Monroe County deputies Cpl. Tyler
Rodgers and Grace Tenny were dispatched
to the area around 7:40 p.m.. At first they
couldn’t find the vehicle but then searched at
the back of the property and found it empty
next to a pond. They then found Rogers
sitting in the water, conscious and alert. He
told them he was fishing and fell and could
