Hansford
taking talents
to Central Fla.
Former Mary Persons Bulldog and Missouri Tiger Jatorian
Hansford has announced he is transferring to Central Florida
in Orlando to play for Coach Gus Malzahn. Hansford was a
senior backup defensive end this year but has an extra year
of eligibility due to COVID. Hansford played 195 total snaps
on defense for the Tigers this season, according to Pro Football
Focus. He had eight total tackles, seven of which were unas
sisted, and one sack on the year. Hansford joined the Mizzou
program in 2018 as a three-star recruit, listed as an outside
linebacker. He played a sizable role in 2019, seeing 381 total
snaps on defense and recording 15 total tackles, but saw
less time on the field in his two years under head coach Eliah
Drinkwitz. He finished his Mizzou career with 27 total tackles
(21 solo) and 4.5 tackles for loss.

Pregnancy Center welcomes
help at new Lee St. location
The Pregnancy Center
of Monroe County is a not
for profit community asset
which provides life saving
services to at risk, yet to be
born babies through min
istry, parenting classes,
and prenatal care.
Jessica Scott, center di
rector, has lived in Middle
Georgia for two years and
has been flabbergasted by
the overwhelming support
the community shows to
The Pregnancy Center.
She said the churches and
individuals in Monroe
County give faithfully to
the pregnancy center and
are involved in the day-to-
day operation.
“As new programs have
been implemented, the
needs have expanded. I
have felt ill at ease asking
for more donations for
specific items. However,
the asking has been met
with graciousness and
generosity. It floors me
every time,” said Scott.
In a recent newsletter,
Jessica published a “Dare
to be a Miriam” challenge.
Miriam, the sister of
Moses, was the life saving
bridge for Gods people in
Exodus 2:4-9
In the days when Moses
was born, those in power
wished to snuff out Gods
chosen people to increase
the governments control.
Today, that power comes
dressed as freedom. It
does not hold a scepter
while issuing a death
decree. It looks like a
personal choice, as if, as
Gods creation, we have a
right to choose.
